Switching to cotton--Better flavor

Concerning the switch to cotton-----I notice that the overwhelming opinion is that switching to cotton will make for a better flavor but does that basically apply to people who are only using the hundreds of flavors that're available? I only use nicotine flavors equivalent to Winston, Parliament, Pall Mall etc. So does switching to cotton make those nicotine flavors also taste better or does it only apply to flavored juices? Thanks

By "nicotine juices" I'm guessing you mean tobacco flavors. All juice, tobacco flavored, fruit flavored, unflavored, can have nicotine. Yes, cotton generally will make those tobaccos taste better but some people prefer silica or something else for different things.

I use cotton wool on almost everything these days. I find the "improvement" on tobacco flavours less impressive than say citrus or fruity.

I wonder if the quality of the coil is more important overall? My microcoils (on say, a Kanger clearo) are still clean and sizzling after a week.... compared to gunked up, ready-for-the-trash "stock" coils.

Early days for me... only got it perfected in the last few weeks.

Cotton is definitely the cheapest and best way IMO.

I have not used cotton yet but only because I bought such a long piece of silica. I know cotton is cheaper and have heard it suggested by some pretty smart people. Good luck to ya. Let us know what you think.

Try it, a bag of organic cotton isn't expensive and no one can tell you if you'll prefer cotton or not, it's all preference. I personally can't tell much of a difference between it and silica but I do use it most of the time due to it being so easy to just swap out the cotton when needed and I'm running again.

Cotton is cheap and provides a better taste...and vape..for me anyway.

Cotton is my preference - easy to swap out in my rebuildables. I occasionally use tobacco steeps and that is where cotton really shines with the ease of cleaning the coil.

It is also easier for me to micro coil a cotton wick than to do same for ecowool. Coil is very important for flavour.

That said I still use ecowool in my spheroids and that is a favourite atomiser of mine, but I am pretty much cotton on everything else.

Only issue with cotton is that it can burn - nasty if that happens. You will know when it is getting dry as flavour will drop rapidly.

Cotton rocks. Take a chance on $3. Then you can tell us. Organic for me, though poison ivy and dog poo are also organic. No boil. Simple to wick. Be happy.

I find SS cable wicks with tobacco flavours taste better than cotton,but cotton tastes great with my other flavours.

Yes, you're right about tobacco flavors. That's what I was referring to.

I was getting the cotton taste from the Trident dripper,but cotton with the KFUN is great.

The problem I found when I used tobacco flavors is that when I switched to cotton it brought out notes of the tobacco that were masked before, and a lot of times the flavor is too intense. It was just too much tobacco flavor (because of the increased vapor production) and I've given them up since then. Cotton is fantastic for all the other flavors though.

A buddy at work loves tobacco flavors and uses cotton. But when I take a toot on his pv the monster clouds are incredibly cloying. I'll have a disgusting aftertaste for the rest of the day
