Hello, was looking to purchase an accurate, high wattage mod with temp control. I do have a penchant for buying things just because they're cool, and have been asking myself if this is the case with the SX mini. So does anyone have any opinions? I know it's damned expensive. Are there better options? Thanks for the help!

I don't own the device your considering. Your question is likely to get a number of different responses. The bottom line is it's what YOU like, need, and currently use. Without more data about you, all I can do is offer you an option which I actually use and think is a good value.

Hcigar DNA 40 (Authentic Evolv)

It's NOT a clone and after about two months it works fine. Nice and hefty. Plenty of power for me and more than I will ever need. An AUTHENTIC Evolv board and the fit and finish is above average. Price dropped a little recently and a good value. Nit picks: wish it was more "rounded" on the edges/corners and just a little bit smaller. No mod is perfect from where I sit so the pluses outway my nit pics.

HTH

Well, that's up to each individual :)

IMO, I would own 10 of them if I could afford them. Why:

1. Most customizable vape. Firmware upgrades now give you 5 power settings in addition to your wattage setting. I'm beta testing firmware right now for titanium wire as well, which also takes the mod to 75W/J with one battery. That will be available soon.

2. Build quality is excellent.

3. Ergonomics are excellent.

4. One year warranty.

5. Upgradeable firmware should keep it from being obsolete quickly in this fast moving industry.
