I could not agree more with all of your points. Who really vapes at 200 watts but that now seems to be the new requirements for all new mods & the in thing. I do like to know my Mod has a ton of power but unless I am using my smok TFV4 tanks I never go over 62-65 watts and that is only when the battery is nearly dead. I agree YIHI needs something similar to escribe and this is probably very similar to the YIHI chip used in my Boxer YIHI which i just asked them if they will be offering this Q chip in future boxer mods in case i need for them to upgrade the chip that is currently in mine. They currently have no plans to switch but time will tell and the cost will only be $25 to $40 if they do switch chips. Regarding the 2 batteries again I agree to really get safely to 200 watts or somewhere within that range and to be able to vape for a decent amount of time they should have built the mod to use 3 18650s. I have never owned a YIHI so i do not know if they do have issues that need to be fixed & i am not sure what the cost to fix the mod would be if something goes wrong after 6 months. Owning a boxer YIHI mod I know that the cost to fix the mod if something shorts or breaks after 6 months is affordable and that for me a huge plus & why I would still go with theirs over this. However, I would really need to truly compare the spec's which I am sure we will start to hear more about in the coming month as they should start going to people that pre-ordered the Mod. I have seen it offered anywhere from $189 to $219 and again at $200+ why not get a fully assembled Boxer for an additional $25 to $50 and its made in the US. Which we as a country need to start supporting our companies especially when they make a pretty killer mod and stand behind it which I have yet to find one even close.

Agree 100%........ Battery Safety Matters..... Two 18650's for 200 watts = :danger:

They don't get to 200w unless the build is the right resistance. They put out like 7.5v if your build will reach 200w with that voltage then they will. Oh and if your YiHi chip is anything like mine they are like a Provari. I still have had no problems and my M's are at just over a year old. My S other then looking like the wreck of the Hesperus works perfectly, still a daily well nightly user. Have it on my night stand.

Well, it won't be long now. YIHI has started shipping the Q to vendors. :thumb:

Were did you hear this? I can't find confirmation of it any were :(
I preordered one from Vaperoyalty & would really like a shipping notice :)

The point retird is making is a dual 18650 mod, achieving 200 watts is really pushing the limit!
It would have been more responsible of Yihi to make this a 150 watt mod. It wouldn't have made any difference to some one looking to purchase one, if it was 150 or 200 watts.
IMO it would have looked better on them to show a more safety conscious attitude, instead of just trying to advertise a #.
No one's chip is perfect, I had a 350J malfunction & was replaced by Yihi under warranty.
I have another one now that is acting up also after the last update. unfortunately this one is 8 months old and I'm SOL :(

Remember to post pics, give specs (especially curious about the weight of this thing) when you guys get it.

This is just my opinion and I'm in now way bashing the new Q chip but~!!

Doesn't the boxer SX350Jv2 mod do the same thing this thing does? From what I've gathered from a Chinese vendor is that (as mentioned in a previous post) this thing has 2 things different

1. The chip was specifically designed to be powered by a dual 18650 setup compared to the sx350j v2 which was either 1 or 2

&

2. It does 2 amp charging via usb.

The vendor I spoke with is a reputable one on ebay and does alot of product reviews on Youku (China's youtube) akin to our reviewers here stateside.

I guess we will find out when this thing actually hits the market and we get some reviewers testing it.

Resistance doesn't matter though. Watts are watts, and on a regulated device that's what determines the amp draw. With two batteries, assuming a 90% device efficiency, 200w will draw close to 35 amps per battery at a cutoff voltage of 3.2v.

Well thats good news :) I bet you wont find them for 20% off & 2 free batteries any more.
You might be right but competition is pretty fierce atm. For me personally $200 is pretty steep for that mod. Most of my DNA200's were under $120 shipped and even my Blood Red Lavabox was only $135 shipped with a 20% coupon code. I know the truly committed will pay anything for one, but I wouldn't.

Cheers,
Steve

I'm curious & just have to have one of the latest & greatest :)
I all ways relate it back to smoking costs. Even buying just about every thing that comes out, it's still less than smoking use to be :)

I actually did a quick napkin math just last night. Over the 2 month period when I started vaping, I've spent about 250 days worth of stinkies assuming a pack a day with NYC prices ~$13 bucks a pop.

I DIY my juice & that cuts the lion share of spending right out of Vaping :)
So hardware purchase's seen trivial to me.
Smoking used to cost me 100.00 a week!

It was like we were throwing money towards something thats killing us slowly. Made no sense but I did it for years. I also DIY my juices now, the most I've spent $$$ on are mods...I'm just a sucker when it comes to small pocketable devices that are well built.

With all the mods out there that are so cheap like the Cuboid, IPV5 sure they aren't built like the SX which I have 6 of in TC and an S and love them but when you can buy a mod that does TC pretty respectably for $40 or less I'm having a hard time justifying spending $200. I have never had a problem with any of my SX's but I haven't had any problems with any of my mods except a Sigeli fake DNA20. PB did a review on them and they did TC very respectably and VW almost perfectly for $38, I'm speaking of the Cuboid Joyetech seems pretty good, I know my VTCmini works great with Ti.
