Syringe filling: a LONG retrospective

Wow, didn't expect this thread to go like this when I started reading it! Everyone try both ways and do whichever one is the quickest, least messy and easiest for YOU! I make a godawful mess with the condom method and none with the syringe, so that is me. I really tried multiple times and could probably be the poster child for Snowdragon's side. And you don't want to see me do the taryn (sp?) spin. That was just sad. I had to spend some quality time with a nice simple cartridge to get over that! But other people love it. Try them both. And if someone comes up with something new and interesting, try that too!

Just to muddy the waters --

I've tried injecting directly into cartos, the condom method, counting drops, and several other ways. All of them were messy, or difficult, or time-consuming, or got juice on the threads (I can only use autos and am paranoid about keeping the threads clean), or had problems with over/under-filling, or hurts (I have some nerve damage in my hands so some tasks are unnaturally painful), or some combination of these problems.

Since I go through a lot of cartos (I average 30ml of juice per week), I had to find a fast and clean way to do them in quantity.

Here's what I've come up with so far:

My method is still a work in progress -- ideally I'd like to end up with a little unit so that I can just screw the carto onto it, push a button, and it's automatically refilled perfectly in six and a third seconds -- but so far, for me, it's far better than any other way I've tried.

(The video was my first shot at making something for YouTube, and I made nearly every mistake in the book -- I hope you can look beyond that and see the methodology.)
