I personally use shringes for mixing and accuracy and repeatability are spot on. I take my time when mixing and find it easier than graduated cylinders for small batches.
I'm having some issues with this calculator, maybe my fault, so I ended using the same one I've been for long and just doing the multiplications.
My ebay scale worked well and this method (weight) is a breeze. Pouring directly the nicotine solution and the vg from bottles to a beaker, then flavors directly too, adding drops of each until I got the weight of each that I needed. After that, only one beaker to wash...versus a bunch of syringes with the volume method.

The absolute best thing for me about using a scale is the no mess no fuss aspect. Especially since I have hand problems. I mix my base up in larger batches and use what is basically a ketchup bottle for the base. I mix into the end bottles, so I just put the base in, tare, add the first flavor, tare, etc. The most I have to clean up is wiping up drips.
