Do yourself a favor and get some glass graduated cylinders for measuring. They are very inexpensive and come in all sizes.

I would not want glue from tape in my liquid ;)

Well, only my "needle" portion gets in the liquid.. but stuff does get on my hands that wear the markings off... SO the tape works for me.

I will second the recommendation of using clear nail polish on the syringes. Before I use any syringe I use a quality clear nail polish and let it dry over night before use. I have yet to have the ink or polish wash off.

I have tried the tape method, and it only holds up for a wash or two before it falls off, or worse, a corner lifts up and you accidently pull that tape off with all the markings.

From my old chemistry days in college I remembered how tough these were how easy to clean and their accuracy. I will be getting into DIY and these are what I'll be using. Thanks for the confirmation.

Some nail polishes will flake off plastic syringes, so proceed with caution on this route. Tape works well with scotch tape being okay but packaging tape (which is waterproof) being much more durable. I've also just order monoject syringes. I understand the monoject syringes additionally have marking that are burned/recessed.

We don't like cylinders because of "the bother". You can measure accurately with them, but have to use some type of a funnel...and some amount of liquid stays in them when pouring from them. And then you have to clean the funnels & cylinders.

It's SO much easier with syringes (and we don't worry about what amount of the flavoring was left inside the cylinder).

We use clear packing tape on our syringes (over a year) and have never had the tape come off of any of them...nor have we had any of the liquid come in contact with the tape.

Sorry if this has been posted. Had no luck with search. Glass and metal syringes on amazon were outrageously priced. Any recommendations? The ones i've used lose their markings after a few uses and washings. Thanks

I buy my glass syringes here, I dont feel they are outrageous in pricing, you will have them forever. I use the 5ml - priced at 14.31 each, couple yrs ago they were even cheaper.

I never used the needles with syringes back when I used them to measure. The other thing about glass is that it does not absorb flavor like plastic does. It is all about what works for you though ;)

The Ops question was Syringe that eliquid won't eat the markings off of. So, I was responding as if the syringe would come in to contact with the liquid.

ETA- I use wide mouth bottles so have never needed a funnel.
