I have two T-rex's from CigTechs. I got them for my friends wanting to quit smoking. They seem really nice. I bought the last two they had in stock(one black and one silver). Are they made by Joye? or are they a knock off?
yes from china,well i live in the middle east so the shipping was 50$ but... i've ordered the E-pipe DSE601 and the T-Rex plus 5 510 atti's and 5 10 ml bottles plus 25 empty carts (0.26)each,so i think it's ok because the e-pipe was 34$ too,and the attis were 4.2$ each,and the bottle was for 1.68 $ so i guess it's a win win situation

ok, thanks for getting back to me. what i understand is that the T-Rex is the new eGo (clone?) without the button sticking problem, or at least that's what the distributor's website says. Pretty kewl that they have such a nice, long warranty on it.
Did some snooping around and checked with some colleagues in China on this company and the region they come from. I was tempted by their prices but wanted to be sure. What can i say? These are my findings:
1) Shipping is at least $18++ to the US with incremental of at least $6 for every 500grams.
2) You cannot order direct from the website (no shopping cart). It needs to be a manual order and pay later. They do take Paypal but its still somewhat risky.
3) These guys are from the notorious region of Zhengzhou. A little background on this region. People from these areas are responsible for making many of the knockoffs in the world, including e-cigarettes from Chinese manufacturers! I chatted with one of their customer service online and they even admitted that their Mseries and 510 are fake. Note: "FAKE" was the exact word they used to describe it. When i probed further, they then said that the ego and t-rex is genuine but i wonder how much this is true. They then proceeded to assure me that they have both genuine and fake models of the Mseries and 510. I leave this to your interpretation.
Zhengzhou manufacturers are known to lower down cost by using inferior materials. For example, e-cig components are supposedly copper on the surface but these guys uses metal to substitute and lower down costs. There is a saying in China that when Zhengzhou guys enters your industry, its time to leave the industry cos no one can be as cunning as them.
If anyone here has contacts in China, please help me verify if this is true. However, at this moment, my findings and contact with them is enough for me to temporarily stay clear.

dear fedor, my T-rex that i've ordered from these guys is Great (it is genuine) well at least it looks solid and durable, and it has the T-rex logo in red and embossed,i know that this might be fake but i am really happy with it,and this is my 3rd day using it and it works like a monster,batteries are amazing and atomizers are working very well...
DSE601 e-pipe came in it's original packaging with everything included...so i really don't care if it's fake because it's all working and i am really happy,i am not defending them but i am very happy.
and as for payment,i paid Via Western Union and it was a smooth ride,even the shipping was very fast with tracking code.
i will order from them again.

Nightv, it IS a 'clone'. The entire name of 'T-Rex' means just that, it's a Joye ripoff. Glad to hear it's doing it for you though..just keep your fingers crossed that it'll keep up the performance.
And, look at it like this, at least they ARE calling it something DIFFERENT. They're NOT branding it as an EGo, like SOME other manufacturer's/sellers.

Just sharing my findings. It might just be genuine. I also believe in cheaper and better stuff.
Paying by western union will cost you some fees so i hope its still worth it. I highly suspect that they are gonna honor the warranty. Do let us know when/if you intend to get replacements.
For me though, still plan to stay away from them.

Thanks for the posts Fedor. I'm sure it helps clarify alot of things for people. My guess is this is a company that will be here one day, gone the next. I'd rather pay the extra and get the stuff from legit US suppliers.
