Some members have commented that they haven't had problems with their t-tips tarnishing, others have posted they have. I'm wondering if the type of juice being used has an effect on how quick they tarnish or if the PH in ones saliva varies from person to person and is effecting how quick they tarnish? I know all tips get lip goo built up on them over time, and it's more visible on the brass vs. black plastic, but i'm more concerned about tarnishing.

For those who have had their t-tips, what are your experiences and what juices are your using and what cleaning methods are you using to keep them looking great?

somewhere out there......
The T-tips I got are looking great. I use Truesmoker's, TW's pillbox range, V4L's 30ml range, and ecopure's eliquid. IF your wondering I'm vaping blackberry, blueberry, watermelon, cotton candy, camel, clove, and minthol raging from 6mg - 18mg PG and VG. And no problems from any of these eliquids as far as T-tips are concerned. I vape about 3 - 5mls per day starting with 18mg and working to 6mg by the end of the day.

I simply use dawns dish soap and paper cloth with warm water every other day.

I hope this helps.

I have had my T-tip for 901/510 a few weeks now and I love it. I noticed right away that my T-tip didnt seem to be quite as shiny as the rest I have seen. but...I did order my SS with a satin finish. so Im thinking David did the satin finish on my T-tip also :) I really like that old tarnished look so Im not really cleaning it with a scrub brush or anything , just a paper towel.

*note*....I found that (at least for my t-tip) it fits the 901 atty better than the 510. it works great on both , but its easier to take off and put on the 901. the 510 seems to be a little tighter of a fit. so with that said, I am mostly using my t-tip on 901 attys when i vape at 5 volts or higher.

I didn't know a satin finish was available. Is there something in print about this? It would be nice to not have every fingerprint show. I'm not a polishing kinda guy.

There are many types of satin finishes for metals. Do you know how David's doing this?

Kona,
as far as I know he just uses a 200 grit pad to polish with instead of 400 grit pad. thats how he gets the "satin" finish :)

if you want a satin finish on any super-t , just PM David(forcedfuel50) and ask for it.

Thanks; I think I will.

On yours, is there a linear, directional, grained look or is it subtle enough to just be less shiny?

The lowest i surface prep them is 400 grit, and yes, it does produce a directional grained look as such.:)

I have used it consistently for a little over a week now vaping mostly Drew's HV juice. I have noticed a miniscule ring on the outer surface probably caused by drinking & vaping quite a bit. My somewhat nooby question is the higher grit sandpaper would make for a less grainy surface, correct? So I read 400 grit is the lowest, well what if you double it (or triple it lower to higher)?- would that make it shinier then? I'd love it to be a shiny rather than dull & imagine it would be easier to clean & polish then too.
Saw one on the site that appeared this way & got me thinking... I want one like that
