I have several of the T2 clearomizers that I use on my ego batteries. I have bought them a local store, however the wicks and coils are several dollars more in the store than on the internet, and I am not sure what the meaning of resistance is. will any resistance be compatible with a tank or do you have to know the specific resistance? this is the product i am looking at to replace when my wick burns out:

Also, could you just replace the wick and keep the coil? it seems that the coil would be good for a least 1-3 wicks...

Forget asking Resistance and do a lot of reading. It is simple, but seems to confuse many.
Your standard T2 uses about 2.2-2.5ohm coils - ok for a 3.7 volt battery.
1.8ohm coils will heat up faster and drain the battery quicker. They do tend to give a better tasting vape.
Either will work in place of the other.
If you rinse the wicks and do a dry burn every few tank fulls, your wicks will last a LONG time. I have originals 6months old.
You can see anything you need to learn on Youtube. Cleaning Clearomizer, Dry burning, etc.

Either will work as a replacement head.

If by chance you're using Joyetech eGo batteries, the output voltage is even lower at 3.3V. The 1.8 ohm replacement head will give a much better vape (more flavor & vapor) than the 2.4-2.6 ones. Higher resistance (ohms) needs higher voltage to produce the same power (watts). But just as crxess said, it will drain your battery a bit faster.

Hi Unc1987, Any resistance is "compatible", but may not be the best "vape" without variable voltage. On standard batteries, I prefer the 2 lower ohm heads that Altsmoke doesn't have. [ 1.7-1.9 and 2.2-2.4 ] Electronic Cigarettes, Vaping Supplies, and Tasty Juice - Vaping Me has them for $1 or I also buy from Surevapes.
As far as replacing the wick and not the coil- Good Luck. I bet it could be done, but it wouldn't be easy. The hard part would be getting the wick out without damaging anything. If you accomplish that, then with a needle-threader, it shouldn't be to hard to get a new wick in.

I am using T2 clearomizers on an ego battery, and have had issues with wicks burning and/or clogging enough to need a new wick. I have learned to keep the mix at 50/50 or higher PG to VG, but the really dark juices aren't so friendly. I don't mess with citrus stuff. Suggestions or links to changing the wicks would be a big help to me and others in my position. I know that the wick is not hard to replace in general, but something specific for the Kanger T2 would be nice, re:material and thickness of wick. The replacements coils are cheap enough, but the wicks obviously burn out faster than the coils, which if need be, can be dry burned very easily.

BTW, I have found this short thread very informative, and agree with everything posted above, which is nice. I love the T2 on my ego battery, and don't mind putting a new head on it 2-3 times a month, but it could be better. I'm not to fond of the unknown wick material that comes with them, either. They put out powder dust when new, in my experience. Also 2.4 ohm heads work OK for me, 2.2 ohm heads are better, haven't tried lower than that yet. I'm still hoping to fix this wick situation before adding to the problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
