Out of necessity, I made myself a nice PV stand out of a couple things I found at Home Depot and WalMart. The hole can be customized to fit your PV with a smaller, or larger spade bit, and you can cut the inside pad down to size. You could use felt furniture pads also.
Things you will need:
4 in. Tapered Bun Foot Ash Table Leg (or similar)
Bosch 1 in. x 6 in. DareDevil Spade Bit (or similar)
Soft Touch Gripper Pads (or similar)
A Drill
Paint (optional)
First, remove the screw from the bottom (top) of the Table Leg, this is really easy with a pair of ordinary pliers.
Then mark the center of the smaller end and take the 1 in. Spade Bit and cut to desired depth (mines about 3 inches, just below the fire button).
Paint it if you want to (mine looks rough because I rushed it).
Insert Gripper Pad into hole for a somewhat cushioned bottom (better than raw wood) for your PV to rest on.
Sorry that I dont have pictures of the step-by-step process, I was doing this more as a quick solution to keep my PV on the table, desk, or from rolling around in my cup holder in the car (plus I wasn't thinking ahead ). So, here's the finished product:
