I finally found time to build my GS2. I used the PTFE wicks. The trick is to push them in a bit past flush so they are pressing against the top of the wick shoulders. I used a 3mm ID coil so there would be big, fluffy shoulders. Position the shoulders so they extend to the side horizontally instead of sloping down in an arc. The juices wells are packed full.

6 wraps of 26g kanthal at 0.84 ohms.

The 3-hole upper ring wide open gives a very airy draw, especially when coupled with the bottom ring wide open.

Once I dialed the PTFE wicks in, I haven't had any gurgling or flooding. Vapor is thick and moist and flavor is fantastic. I'm vaping at 25 watts with no issues of dry hits.

Just bought a gs2 on a whim. Was ready to push the trigger on the squape rs, then decided to wait for the GEM. Seen that this puppy was recently released and couldn't resist. Now the wait. lol. Overseas shipping can be a bear.
It actually didn't take too long to get here for most of us. I ordered the Friday it launched, and it arrived a week from the following Monday. So with two weekends and a holiday in the middle, it still only took like 9 days (it shipped Saturday).

Very nice. I ordered from a place called le petit vapoteur. Hopefully they're legit. lol. Also, is the consensus mesh for the tank holes?

Yes, they are legit. I've ordered from them before, and someone ordered a GS2 from them too (TheotherSreve I think?)

I've used mesh wicks in the FeV religiously with perfect results but I'm having no issues with the PTFE wicks. I think I'll try them in the FeV.

What is the verdict on the GS so far? I'm curious as to the reason for this style of wicking, and if the next GT will follow in a similar design.
I don't think the GT will, this style of wicking is similar to the original GS, it wasn't a huge change or anything, just improved greatly.

It works great in the Flash-Es ;)

I'd like to see somebody post about using just mesh without the PTFE tubes, if I had one that's how I would do it.
The GS 2 and GS 1 are very similar except for size as far as wicking methods.
I'm slow to type
In the FB group quite a few people have used mesh only (Anavid went all out, I don't think most people are gonna roll with both, hehe).

We already know mesh works great for feeder wicks in the Flash-Es, so it's easy to see them working just as well in the GS. I think in the FB group I've seen more people using mesh or trying out the cotton method (I'm kinda interested in trying out the donut, just cuz, haha) :)
