I have a question for all you Taifun fans...

I dont know how many of you have one, but the Taifun Skarabus intrigues me. I think there were different versions of it. On the site they have one called the "Pro" and its regulated, but I keep seeing photos around , especially on FB and those look like mechs?

Were the older ones mech and now only reg available?

Taifun The Eye is fully regulated by a Dicodes chip, with variable wattage/voltage.

I believe the Skarabus was mech originally, and the Pro version is regulated by a mosfet or kick style chip in the top cap...it's not variable, just protected.

Thanks Dems, Do you have one? Can I use any sized battery with it? I prefer shorter mods and feel most comfortable with 18500 length.
I'm pretty sure it's modular, with extensions for 500/650, in addition to the base 350 tube.

I don't own one, although I think they would make for the ultimate Taifun setup...the button the Skarabus Pro looks really nice btw, supposed to not wear out ever...and I do like the side fire myself.

For whatever reason, I had the worst time trapping my leads under the screw heads  Am I just a reject tonight or are they a pain? I finally did the oddest thing. I bent the leads at 90° angles even though they are on opposite sides and put them through the post holes :p
My 22 is a Hotcig so I don't have post holes but I find it hard to get the legs wrapped easily. I'm going to make a little block out of wood or plastic to set on the deck to hold the coil a bit higher while attaching the legs... or plan to anyway.

I'm still in the learning process with them... just about known them a bit better each time.
My mesh tubes are the full length from the top of the cap to the bottom of the reservoirs. I leave the wicks long enough so the ends of the tubes are sitting in the wick's tail.
Prior I was splitting the tails in the middle, one end going left the other right and putting the tube down the middle bottoming on the metal, I got leakage this way when atty was placed on it's side.

I don't know if what I'm doing is optimal either, but I'm pleased.

Coil in the middle with big fluffy wick tails that fill the well. I did a 2.5mm in the small one, and 3mm in the big one. I also did the coils with the leads on top to get them closer to the airhole.

I used a plastic feed tube to see how tall the mesh should be, and cut the mesh so my straws would be the same height as those. I put them in flush to the top of that piece they go in and sitting in the shoulders of my wick underneath.

What's everyone else doing?

My legs roll off the bottom, 2.7 mm coil id, the rest sounds like how I did mine.

HI Folks!
The GS II arrived today with a piffed KF4. This is my first Taifun, can I join the club as well? :D

Vaping and feeding very nicely with 8 wraps of 26g on 2.5mm @ 20W. Japanese cotton in the well with shoulders and a pair of 10mmx50mm 200g mesh straws.

Well, I have a very minor leak with my 22mm :( Not enough to have any juice on my mod after more than 24 hours, but I've seen it around the afc slots. I guess I'm going to need to redo the straws. I'm a little concerned the holes are too large for successful feeder straws. I hope not. I managed to lose or throw away one of the plastic ones or I would try to put mesh in those.
