Here is the new build I have just made, and more wick. The wick is fiber freak no2. Is the wick too much now ? I have a bit gargling now but it will go away after an hour.

It shows 1.44ohm now.
28 Gauge Temco Kanthal
2.5mm 7 wraps
juice: 70PG / 30VG

I just increased the air by openning 2 + 2 holes on the taifun gt2, I was using only two small holes and giving it 13w now, oh man, my head is turning again :D The vapor is dry as i want but the flavor is not good enough yet as my bvc coils :( Should i go up to 15w ? :D

I've not tried the fiber freak stuff, so no idea on the density, from the look, it appears to be less dense then Japanese sheet cotton, that looks pretty good to me. Once you get your build dialed in you should be able to run it a bit higher, 1.5 ohm builds in mt Taifun usually run 18-20 watts OK. Report back how this build is working for you.

I'd try pulling the plastic tube out of your deck, and drop the coil a bit, looks a bit high to me.

I have found the problem. Either my RDNA40 is broken(more possible) or my VTC4 batteries are dead. Because they were discharging so fast like 12 hours. How I understand this,

I just rebuild the coil and removed the plastic tube as well. 1.6ohm. There was always raw vapor and raw flavor + the vapor was very low even at 16w and then finally I simply put my taifun gt2 to my eleaf istick and even at 10w I made a very big cloud and no raw flavor or steam + good flavor. Because the coil was at 1.6 and it should have good vapor at 10 - 11w with rdna40, it does not even make vapor at 10-11w with rdna40.

Well, I had VTC5 too and tried it with RDNA40 and it is the same, I believe that VTC5 is not dead yet as I used it couple of times only 7 months ago. I suspect this can be somehow related to tempreature control of RDNA40 even it does not function for kanthal ? I will disable the tempreature control and will try tomorrow. I hope this device is not broken, it will be so sad, just bought it 5 months ago and already all its paint is removed from the case, the fire button is sticking and hard. 189$ device. Bought istick 14$ almost 2 years ago not a single scratch on paint or function issue!. I will report tomorrow.

react, I think you need to charge your batteries. Don't wait until they are completely discharged; you can top up when the battery gets to 3.7 volts or so. I have two rDNA30's (no Temp Control) and charge with the USB cable almost daily. I like the lighted ring around the fire button that turns from red to green when the battery is fully charged.

My Taifun GT2 worked beautifully except for leaking about 2 drops daily. Recently leakage increased and I decided to rewick. Wick was 2 months old but still not too bad, darkened only in places where coil touched it. I dry burnt coil and moved it about quater millimeter higher. Used just a little bit more cotton (KGD). So far not a single drop leaked. Now I like it even better than Kayfun 4. At least for today.

Beautiful work, AMD! No problems trapping the wire with those hefty posts. I see you've put insulators on the negative just like you did with the Squapes. Do you notice less voltage drop that way?

The whole purpose of these solid (not tubular) posts is to prevent e-liquid from sipping down to the base. And the negative one already had useless insulator, I just left it there. They are not hefty, they are the same Ø3.0 mm as the original with hex ends to make it easy to screw on and off. But they are made out of solid stainless steel rod without a hole in the middle. And the screw is the same M2.0 screw, only shorter.

Today I just charged all the batteries I have and all of them are the same. Also RDNA40 shows incorrect battery life on the screen, sometimes full sometimes half. There is a problem surely on my rdna40 or batteries are dead. Lets see, I made a new order for new VTC5. I will report when they arrive. Right now RDNA40 does not even heat the liquid properly at 10 -11w, it is always like the battery is finish and it does not have power. I have disabled the tempreature control no luck.

Can batteries die because of leaving them on the charge machine more than 24 hours ? I use nitecore which stops charging after they are full but I left them there 24 hours or more and the nitecore was pluged in to electric city all the time.

I believe you can permanently damage a battery if you let it discharge too far. Sounds like your VTC5 won't hold a charge anymore. Also, there are fake VTC5 batteries out there, especially on eBay. I got a couple VTC5's last month from Illumination but they sold out quickly.

I live in Southern California. We don't have basements because of the earthquakes. I had to build an addition to my house for this little hobby shop of mine.
Hobby Shop...

Probably on the other wall is a Wire EDM machine and a 6 Axis Mill. :)

Damn. It's leaking again.
OK, 2 days with zero leaking...
