so i finally got my taifun from FT after over a months wait and set this thing up. From the amount of juice i could figure out how to put in it it seems to be vaping great. Now my only question is what the trick to filling this sucker up? BTW this is my first atty of this kind. Pretty impressed with myself that it is working as well as it is considering ive never built anything like this before. Any help would be great!

You're so lucky… my tracking # wont even work :banghead:

Mine wasn't working either. I checked one day and it said it had gone overseas then the next it stopped working. I had ordered a few things from FT and it had been easily over a month. And my orders came on separate days.

Has anybody been able to setup a full AO wick in a TGT without leakage/flooding? Gave up on that in the fogger V2. Hoping the TGT will fair better :D

AO - alumina oxide - ceramic

I have the Taifun prototype ceramic kit, which replaces the center chamber sleeve and cap. Which worked ok, but couldn't really chain vape.

My best AO setup was an AO wick just inside the atty sleeve with ekowool around the wick ends and then out thru the chamber sleeve. It was absolutely beautiful, probably the best vape ever for me. But it was a huge pita to setup and the ekowool ends were so short that they eventually unraveled and fell apart.

Gdeal has been having good luck with a full length ceramic wick and using some hemp fiber to help at the atty sleeve slots.

I'm thinking something along the spheroid mode might work good for ceramic, but might need an additional material between the wick and the fluff so it doesn't melt the fluff. The AO wicks can get pretty warm. I think the AO could really shine in an 'open' system (aka - spheroid mode)

Thanks Bapgood. Got some ekowool I'm waiting on, will try your eko-AO set up, soon as SlowTech gets my TGT to me :banghead: BTW, got a link for that ceramic kit? ;)

The AO wick works really well in the Taifun. The basic setup I use is a 2.7mm round piece of AO that has the ends formed into a point. The ends rest in the chamber slots with a bit of open space. I take some hemp fiber (cotton would work as well) and tuck it into the spaces. I bring the hemp to about 1mm away from the coil on each side, so that the AO is only expose to the coil. I am using a .9ohm 29g coil hotwrapped with closely space coils. It vapes nicely at 12 watts in a kicked chi-you clone.

eLCruz - ekowool should work well too!
