Dont tell Imeo... although I could use another ithaka, I wouldn't trade my TGT for one:) I will however give 'ya a Squape or Aqua for it.

im gonna keep fiddling with it for now....lol....nothing to lose, already bought it....
waiting on some cotton....the 23mm size is important to me....
so it's either getting the gt to work properly or an ithaka....lol

The little one is original (*$300) and the big one is a fake (*$45)
*batteries not included.
Both are HQ and vape great, an ss deck is on the way for the big one.

was completely unhappy with the taifun until i decided to give it a once over before the new year...
28awg....9wraps.....1ohm.....single strand of 2mm eko....
Flavorz by Joe Green Apple Wintergreen....
My opinion of this atty reversed 180 degrees.....what a flavorful, rich vape!!!
It's all in the coil and wick.....the rest- the tank does for you...lol....
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE AT ECF!!!!

Dang that's one good looking rig. Darn you guys anyway. Now I'm wanting a Chi You/Taifun GT combo.

Happy new year everyone.

i don't blame you.....IMHO it's worth every RETAIL penny....or hundreds of hard earned dollars that is.....
the Full Brass Chi/Taifun was dormant in my collection until tonight- i decided to read this entire thread, and re-coil/re-wick my Taifun-
I haven't put it down since I wrote the first post! Vaping like a boss!!!
Happy New Years!

I've been using mine for the past couple of days. I see lots of people loving it, and I'll agree it vapes well. But I don't think it's any better than the kayfun?
And the kayfun is easier to set-up, never leaks, it's a beast.

I love the look of the taifun, and it vapes great but..... The trade off is occasional leaks and floods it seems like? I dunno...

I have been using my Taifun clone for a month and I have not any single leakage yet and for me TGT is better than kayfun in term of flavor...welll it is just me

+1 on this^^. My GT gets more use than any other atty I own.

Running 1.5 micro coil/cotton. Wicked just like my Kayfuns, and it vapes better, IMO.

I'm using 3 mm silica and after I install the wick/coil and before I cut the wicks I grab hold of each end of the wick and untwist it.
I have two of 'em and have yet to make one gurgle or be dry.
I do this on most all silica builds for well over a year now.
im using doubled up 3mm "german" silica the fluffy stuff. wicks amazing and, the vapor production is insane, better than cotton! flavor is better too :) I love my Taifun more every day. to bad its such a huge beast though...

Can someone please detail this for me?
What happens if I remove the airflow tube in the Taifun GT? Will I be able to put it back in? Is there a risk of damaging anything? Can someone please give me the rundown on removing that?

Just pull it out, it won't hurt anything. Just don't grip onto it hard enough with a pair of pliers to bend it.

While I liked the increased air flow just fine with the 1.2 mm ID tube removed the flavor diminished too much so I compromised and put in a 1.5. The little bugger is stainless steel so it's no that easily damaged.
