Quick question guys. Forgive me because these may be stupid questions, but I am just starting out rebuilding. I have read most of the thread, but I cannot keep my TGT from gurgling and then leaking out of the air hole. It is a hcigar clone. I am new to rebuildables so I had the shop do the first build while I watched and learned. The tank was rocking it at first, but then I started to get dry hits later that night so I rewicked it. Sure enough the cotton was burnt. I was using a SVD at about 11-14 watts. They built a 2.4 ohm coil. Obvously it was hot in there so I guess I need to turn the power down some. After I rewicked it again it was rocking the flavor, but this morning on the way to work it started leaking and I could not get it to stop. I had to replace an o-ring on the deck last night because it got a little messed up. I am thinking my wick was a little too small and that caused the leaking, but why did it wait until I left for work this morning.

Could I be filling it wrong? I feel it from the bottom and then turn it over once the base is screwed back on completely. I really want to get this tank up and going consistently because I have a rDNA 40 coming. Really want to take advantage of the extra power compared to my SVD and Istick. I was also going to get a Russian 91% because of the way the TGT was vaping. Once I rewick it I will try and post a picture to help.

I had the same problem with mine till I ordered a o ring set from the original and replaced them all with the right ones. Hard to find though! I got mine from Germany.
Good luck!
I have an original and a Hcigar and the original never leaked but the Hcigar did. No leaking since I replaced them!!!

WELP. Got my flask today

Decided that contact coils don't play nice with the dna40. Had to build a massive spaced coil

EVcigs says the Hcigar is temporary out of stock. Check back later! They still have the GS in stock so maybe Hcigar is still selling them and the GT is just out of stock because people are buying them up!

I pulled the air tube out and it hits better but I'm going though juice like mad. Glad I DIY this stuff!!!

If you have the coil sitting to close down towards the air hole could cause leaking out the outer air hole and it would take a little time for it to build up before the leaking starts.

Thanks. I will take a look at it tomorrow and maybe play around with the coil or jus build a new one. I will let you guys know once I try it.

mekc I am pretty sure the O-rings are crap because I already had to replace one. I am going to have to bite the bullet and order some. Shipping must be a beast from Germany though.

Just gott make sure whatever you buy, you don't get that awful version with the skinny channels. Those are horrid. I was lucky enough to have a kind member here Dremel it out for me and save my purchase.

Yeah I got that "IVOGO" version. I pretty much did every single modification to it and it's still giving me problems. Replaced all the O-rings, took out the center airflow pin and plastic bushing (PITA), drilled out the intake air hole to 7/64, dremeled out those skinny slots, put a nano kit on it, gave it a mirror polish and after all that, it still sounds like it's whistling and wheezing. I'm guessing I need to step my wick game up but after I replaced the orings, now the air bubbles don't come out of the slots but from the bottom... I just don't get it...ImageUploadedByTapatalk1415262097.968290.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1415262106.217654.jpg

That's some serious bubbles there.

MOV has both the Taifun GT and Taifun GS by Rainbow Heaven for sale and both have the Taifun logo on them.

Be careful! The Rainbow Heaven one I bought was crap. something loose and rattly inside the base, super tight airflow (probably because of that) and vendor only referred me to Rainbow Heaven, who referred me back to the vendor. I ended up junking the base and keeping the rest for parts.

Yea I know about the Rainbow heaven version problems I was just posting for those who were still looking for the TGT clone with logo since FT pulled them all.I have one original TGT and one clone from FT version B(this was when FT only had three versions up for sale).

I believe that RH has/had fixed the problems with the devices but do not quote me on that.I read a thread shortly after the problems had been reported about those.
