I am about to pull the trigger on the Taifun GT2 and was wondering if anyone thought the larger chamber thigy (3.2mm) is worth getting? Thought I would chime in here real quick before I place the order, because I'd rather not pay twice for shipping (yikes). Thanks guys!!!

It's going to depend on your style of vaping, if you want really high wattage you need big wick/coil and air. So if your wanting to make a cloud maker out of it it should help but will still probably fall short in that department.
By all means though get every thing that you want from them in one purchase.

Yeah, definitely more into flavor than clouds, I'd bust out a dripper if I am into just blowing clouds. I do like to run a hotter vape every now and then, but right now I vape my SqR at 21.5w and my K4 at 18.5 just as an idea.

Then probably not, you could always buy a clone just for the sleeve and Dremel the slots yourself.

Finally was able to order the XS Tank Kit and the Wide Bush at the same time. Got some other bits and bobs too including Fiber Freak.
I'm jelly. I ordered my GT2 last night with the wide bush (figured better to have it than not, especially while I'm ordering the device itself). InTaste just stocked all the GT2 goodies a couple days ago...but of course, what is the one item they have already sold out of? That damn sexy little XS Tank *facepalm* Would have been nice not to have to pay separate shipping for that from somewhere else, especially because InTaste gets here so much faster.

Did SmokerStore restock the XS or did you pick those goodies up elsewhere?

I Have had a tiafun for about six months and had just got a new seal set and tank. All was looking good for a great build session when I found, of the two coil retaining screws the longest will not screw up and its not cross treaded because its got about 5mm till it bottoms. shorter screw has no problem. If anyone has the answer I would be eternally grateful. Also does the bottom block come apart if so I could see whats happening.

Are you saying it doesn't seem to go in far enough ? The base is pressed together, it can be separated but it's not meant to be user serviceable.
Here is what I think you may have going on.

The brass disc has turned not allowing the positive screw to line up with the hole. Don't remove the 510 screw.
Here's what to do, pull out the sleeve that the positive post screw goes into so you can see when it is lined up. By turning the 510 screw you can get the disc to turn. When you get it line up insert the positive screw temporarily and tighten the 510 to hold the disc in place. Then remove the positive screw, insert sleeve and positive screw.
Check to make sure it's not shorted before yo go any farther with it.

If the silicone insulator is not in place between deck and brass disc it will short, see picture, opposite side from screwdriver.
You may have to use something like a tooth pick down in the screw's hole to get the insulator in place as well.

Note: for anyone wandering this is the early FT type "A" with the brass deck. They stopped using them pretty quickly.

I recently bought a taifun gt 2. .. an upgrade from the protank 3 tanks i was vaping on for the last 5-6 months .. I loved it so much I bought another .. now that is all I use
Nice...I've had mine for a week now and the more I use it the better it gets.

I've figured out a really good way to wick it now, and it works like a dream. Haven't even needed to use the 3.2 bush, no issues at all with the stock one. I'm sure it would be helpful for 100% VG juices though, but even my higher VG juices wick without issue. .

Definitely one helluva atty

I'm real anxious to test the 28g tempered nickel wire I just received. It is as stiff as kanthal.

I was tempering mine (trying to) after mounting the coil on the atty. held it upside down, fired it till red hot and quinced it in water. I really don't think it worked all that good as it seems still quite fragile.

You are going to tell us where you got it from...right?
