^^^ so is the deck a press fit into the base?

It, certainly was. But I had to make sure that everything is nice and clean in there. That it has no chips, oil, dirt or burr. That's why I disassembled the base and, then pressed it back together again. Also, if you've noticed, I did not replace the wire posts this time. I found the original screws are snug enough in their tubes.

I took me a bit to figure just what you meant about replacing the posts but I believe you are saying that the supplied ones were good enough.
Oh, and that is the 22 mm one right?

Yes, it is 22mm. About the wire posts: I thought you've seen my solid Taifun GT II wire posts, instead of tubular ones.

I especially like these 2, are they drill chucks of some sort?

It's called: 22mm Collet chuck. It is the best way to grip 22mm kayfun, for example when it is stuck, without damaging it. The one on the left, I made from scratch. From trailer hitch ball, to be exact. The one on the right is a factory made Collet, I just made a chuck for it.

Now, these are authentic and the center hole and the feeder holes are the same size.
Some of the clones differ as when they made the 22mm clone , there was not even the GSL by Taifun out yet. I think the manufacturers figured that 22mm was more sellable so they just told the CNC machine to make everything larger by some percentage and certain parts that should not be larger were made larger.

What is the purpose of the upper, additional airflow? Maybe for use in Dripper mode... Because in Tank mode, when opened, it simply depressurizes it and e-liquid runs outside slowly, but surely. Maybe I don't know something? But I've been vaping this tank all day today. It reaches 65W in TC mode on every puff. I think, it could easily compete with Dual Coil tanks. IMHO

Good question. I dont use the upper airflow. I use 3 of the holes on each side. I have not tried the dripper mode yet, I do have the parts.

I assumed the upper air flow was for real low resistance vapers or dual and more coils. I dont need as much air as most people like or need as I vape around 1.0 and even when I use VW, I only max the wattage at 10.3.

I know that there is a separate upper AFC ring that adds 2 more sets of holes for a total of 9 ?

Comparing the GSII 22mm and GSL 23mm by Shenrey, it seems the GSL has smaller holes for the mesh wick and a smaller center air flow hole. I don't own either, just noticed it the pics. Can anyone confirm that has these models?

I don't have the GSL, but yes, the airhole and mesh feeder holes are huge on the 22mm Shenray TGS2. My feeder wicks are 6" length of mesh, lol! I also wasn't happy with a tootle coil in it due to the airhole. I have a Clapton in it now and its very nice. I think it would do well with duals, too. If you want a tootle tank, go with the GSL.

The 19 and 22 mm Hotcig are sporting the same size feeder holes. I went and took another look at the GSL clone that I ordered from FT, it appears to have "original" sized holes. I think it's a Shenray.
BTW, that's advanced tootle puffer.....

Did anyone ever try the three holed slotted ring on the GS or for that matter the dripper setup?
Not me, yet
I ran it that way the first night I got it for a while. Not a bad little novelty dripper mode, the bottom airflow is much more flavorful than the top. The 3 hole top ring makes no sense as two of the sets of holes are covered by wick tails. I used the single hole ring and still could not get it exactly straight onto the coil.

The three slot AFC might be good for a vertical coil build.

It works as a dripper but a dedicated RDA like the Origen is just so much better.
