Some of the adhesive that's used in aquarium systems might be ok to use. Also, would a little of the white plummers tape make it snug enough to hold together? Probably wouldn't be trustworthy I'm guessing.

I don't think I would trust Teflon tape. the aquarium glue sounds like a good idea... I also thought maybe I could flare the end of the tube slightly and try pressing it back in. worst case, i'll order a XS tank kit...

K guys I got mine. The deck is SS but need help setting this up. First tried cotton and tastes burnt then SS same thing. Also the draw is TIGHT.. ugh.. any suggestions?

Don't know if this has already been addressed (didn't read what came after this post) .. but there is a fix for the tight draw on the Hcigar TGT (Focalecig) .. the problem is the plastic insulator inside of the air hole (not the air tube). Pull out the plastic insulator inside the air hole in the base and trim off a little from the bottom and replace ... this should fix any problems with a tight draw.

Apparently there is a burr on the bottom of the plastic insulator that is blocking air flow regardless of which size air tube is used.

Found this little tip on Planetofthevapes site, as everyone was having a problem with the tight draw, and this was the across the board fix for it ... Am waiting for my Taifun now, and have been researching the hell out of it as I wait. :)

well, I recieved my clone from focal ecig, or should I use the word replica! this thing is damn hard to tell from the real thing. even the knurling matchs 99%. theres even a registered trade mark on the box (sad) I have no problem with copies but, when they're this close a lot of people are going to be taken. if you really don't know what to look for this thing could pass as authentic no problem!

if china wants to copy devices fine, I just wish they would leave names, trademarks and serial numbers off them!!!!

Not surprised ... the Focalecig TGT is an HCigar clone, which is the only 1:1 of the all the clones out there ... so happy that I did not get the FT version, even as I hear it performs well, I would prefer a clone that is as close to the original as possible for the quality of materials, and performance sake ... and I don't give a hoot about logos and bla, bla, bla.

I'll be ordering another Taifun GT as well as my first GS from focalecigs pretty soon. I've got one of the FT clones; happened to get a little lucky for a change and mine came with an all-stainless steel deck.

Out of a handful of Kayfun clones and a few Foggers (V2 and later) the Taifun is the easiest to set up. I use microcoils and cotton in all of these, if that makes any difference.

I find that, once properly set up, all of these attys offer the same, great-quality vape. Now, to get my mits on a Squape and an Aqua..... ;)

Just dropping by to say that the HCigar Taifun GT from FocalEcig is brilliant - they're sold out at the time of this post, btw.

I honestly can't tell the difference in flavour, TH, density &c. between the Taifun GT and any RBA I own - it's that good.

That's the Caravela clone (EHPro), also from Focal, if anyone's wondering :)

I got my clone from Fasttech, and it is the stainless.

After reading all about it and watching several reviews, I tried the PBussardo build with the genesis mini wick and a flavor wick on top of it.

It was a disaster.

Genesis coils do not like to be moved at all once you set them up. The slightest movement will cause you hot spots on a Genny. I do mean slightest.

It is impossible not to move the wick on the clone when you start re-assembling it.

I understand that on the original, the sleeve snaps into place in the upper position. On the clone it does not.

With my regular wick (ekowool and cotton flavor wick wrapped with a stiff 30 g micro coil at 2 ohms), I do get some movement.
It does give me a great vape, but filling it always proves to be somewhat of an adventure. I always worry about moving things around and not having the o rings sit properly when I screw everything back together again.

Am I missing something? A fill hole like the Russian's would make this my favorite. The tube on my clone is perfect for my juices (DIY).

My wife bought me a Taifun GT clone from our local B&M, which I do know was originally purchased from Fasttech. Luckily, mine appears to be the SS deck. I put it together with a microcoil and cotton and it's a fantastic vape. Only problem I had was on my first attempt, I pushed the sleeve up into position, and when screwing it into the tank, the sleeve got stuck on the chimney tube and twisted my wick in. On the second attempt, I didn't pushed the sleeve up all the way, and it's been working great, even after a couple of fills.

I have a couple of questions though.....

Mine didn't come with any spare o-rings or different draw tubes in the box.....did I get shorted?

Secondly, I want to completely remove the draw tube to make it wide open as possible. Does the tube simply pull out of the deck? I was afraid to pull it with a pliers or the like and damage it, and then find out it can't be removed, and then have a dead/damaged Taifun.

There are two versions I know of that have the extra air tube in the box that is: Hcigar and Acerig. Not sure which one you received or if Rainbow heaven and Tobecco offer them or not??
Yes you can remove the airtube completely be careful I watched a youtube vid.(safer surfers) and the airhole is tight inside there so once removed the tube and the sleeve it sets in will not be re-usable.

Thanks. I pulled the tube out, which came out fairly easy with a needle nose and a little wiggling. There was 2 insulators on the tube, one of which promptly fell into the sink never to be seen again.

I like the draw with it wide open. Only concern I could possibly see, is that any juice that might make it to the deck is quickly going to come out the air hole, seeing as the draw tube sits slightly raised off the deck. So far, so good.

yes that would be a concern with the juice possibly leaking out the airhole however,if you wick it thick enough(say doubled 3mm wick) and leave an extra 1mm outside the chamber into the juice, the leak issue might not be a concern.I have an Acerig taifun GT clone coming on the slow boat from FT to compare it with my original. I am planning on doing the same thing with the clone.Remove the airtube and leave it out or,if the extra is larger try using it,to see how the draw goes and compare the vape. I am scared to do this on the original after forking out the amount I paid for it.That is a lot of money to just throw away if it damages my real GT.

Hopefully someone here will know about this, I got the HCigar version of the Taifun GT couple of days ago, i have a few niggles with it, but more than likely are normal as ive seen them mentioned but no fixes per say.
First is that damned collar that moves up and down, its way too loose, and wont snap into place, meaning when you screw the tank on, it moves around and messes everything up - tried cotton thread under it, but even 1 loop makes it too tight to even move.

Second is the neg and pos screw tubes are loose, i imagine this isnt an issue, but is there some way safe of keeping them steady?

And lastly, with this HCigar version, do any of the original parts from the real one fit, such as the orings, slidy collar thing, SS tank and screws?

Oh and finally, how far above the airtube should the coils be? and whats the best build for it - currently got a 3mm microcoil at 1ohm, with cotton yarn, about 2mm sticking out, but its all squished against the side of the tank and pushed down.

I just got the Taifun GT from FT (The version with the different accessories). I ended up using the Taifun sans the airtube. I don't have any other Tainfun GTs to compare to but this version is really well made....zero issues with it. It is super easy to put a dual coil on it. From all the rebuildable I have tried....I can safely say this is the best vape I ever had. I can't believe how well made this is and it only cost $22 shipped. I also can't beleive that the Taifuns aren't way more popular than they already are....this is way too good.
