Hey guys, it's been about a week since i got my taifun GT, and i can't say that i'm too happy with my results so far. I'm not sure what i'm doing wrong, but every time i set up a coil and give it a fire i get a really "Metal-y" taste with it, and not much vapor production. I've tried 24 and 28 gauge wire and i'm setting it up with organic cotton. I tried .8 and 1.2 ohm coils and it just tastes really bad. I'm running it on my sigelei 20W. Any suggestions? I'm about ready to give up on this thing.

The metallic taste could also come from it needing to be cleaned. That's what happened to my Squape when I first got it. I disassembled it, and cleaned it with vodka and a toothbrush, then soaked it in vodka overnight to remove any and all machine oil that may have been on any of the parts. It has been a dream since then

Cleaning is always mandatory when first receiving new rba's. A most thorough one when dealing with clones. Once cleaned, then it's just a matter of proper wick density for your build. Personally using Hemp Fiber and Ramie Top fiber. Both out wick and out last cotton and are more heat tolerant. Currently vaping at 20-50 watts.
