Hi all,
Enjoying my third month stinkie-free....
I have fallen in love with the Taifun- best flavor and most satisfying draw of any atty, carto, rda, or clearomizer that I've tried. Delicious.
But, most are familiar with the fiddly builds, occasional leaking/ gurgling if not constructed perfectly, etc. Is there a *tank* style RBA that is a biit easiier buiild and supplies the flavor and moderatly firm draw of the Taifun? The associated prolific vapor production would be a plus.
P.S.- I haven't found a rda that I really enjoy. Too much work using them...

Thanks.
Gary

I'd suggest the kayfun or clone. There's tons of videos and pictures on setting them up, and several threads here that cover the good, the bad, and the ugly. Good luck and happy vaping with whatever you decide.

Read my mind.
I'm looking at the Kayfun 3 (?) clone right now. I hope the build quality on these clones is as good as the Taifun, which is pretty amazing.
I also see the SQuape is already being cloned! I'm thinking this may be a high quality, similar performing atty as well?

I've found my Taifun GT to be the easy but that might be just me. Kayfuns are easy to build in my experience but don't give as good of a vape. I have a by-ka xl which is about the easiest thing in the world to build and it has juice flow control, that might be something to look at.

Wow- that by-ka xl looks amazing. Novel idea to raise the posts so high (and the airhole) and make the build easy. But anyone clone that yet? that's a bunch of money but I'd love one!

My bank account (and wife) disagree with you there... Haha

I look at it this way....How much am I saving every month by not smoking? Anyway I can justify it I guess. I've only been into e-cigs "stuff" a couple months, but with a background in electronics, I find myself going into the DYI gear head first. But bottom line, I'm not smoking anymore and I was a heavy for many years!

It's a relatively obscure russian atty that it looks like once place in the US sells in batches of 10 or so, so probably not going to be cloned quickly.

You never know though.

The clone market seems to be pretty hit or miss. Just try to find some reviews so that you know what to expect. The good news is that there seems to be something for everybody these days. For example, if you like duel coils, take a look at the aqua.

I'm happy that I think I've found my favorite setup in the kayfun type design. I have five and I'm thinking that should hold me for a little while at least. Or at least I think it will. Maybe. :vapor:

Just got my kfl+ clone and fogger from Gotvapes.Com. Not sure who did the clone, but quality seems decent for the price!
Kfl is easier to build, I like the draw on the fogger better.

I might try the Fogger next. I'm still working on the Kayfun, but so far nothing beats the Taifun, IMO, for flavor. And I prefer the draw- firm, but with excellent thick cool vapor to go with the great flavor. I've tried six builds now with the Kayfun clone (it's a good quality well machined piece from what I see) and it leaks, the draw is too airy (for me, I've read otherwise), and the flavor seems "flat".

I aggree with you on the Taifun, IMO the only atty that beats it is Ithaka w/new rebuildable. In my experience the only way i can consistently get a perfect vape with Taifun is to use cotton yarn. Not a dry hit or gurgle yet.

Agreed. I use cotton (but not cotton yarn) after trying silica and SS mesh. Taifun rocks!
I am going to take a look at good Ithaka clones along with the fogger.... I'll save enough in my "no smoking" piggy bank to pick one of the two up next week.

The flash-e-Vapor V2 is my favorite rba, I have the original and the Fasttech clone, both deliver a great vape. Very easy to build and fill. The Tobeco clone has some issues with the wire they used, the EHPro clone is reportedly very good, heard Hcigar was going to clone the flashi too, but hasn't hit the market yet.. I have the Russian and the Aqua which are both very fine rba's also.
