Tainted tanks, gee thanks

This thread is here to create a list of liquids that damage plastic tanks... for liquids that absolutely require glass tanks.


My story,

I recently won a contest and recieved a free bottle of grenada eliquid. Woo hoo.... NOT! Excitedly I filled a EVOD and started vaping this sweet anise goodness (very sweet liquid.. almost too sweet). About 10min later I noticed my tank fogging up and immediately knew what had happened. Cursing and angry I tried to empty and wash the tank immediately. I washed with, hot water, vodka, and even tried vinegar! (Yes I did try changing atomizer coil) This tank is TAINTED FOREVER! now every juice I put in it gets overpowered by the anise flavor in as little as 10 minutes! My favorite and only blue EVOD is ruined for good . Let us report evil liquids that must only be contained in glass tanks!

EDIT not bashing any liquid or vendors the evil juices usually are very good at least I the ones ive tried are good.

It was pointed out below that elevated vaping supplies this and does point out that it does crack tanks (or in my case melts them) I seem to have missed it oops.

I know it must stink to have your evod melt on you, I really hate that. I wasn't into the citrus and cinnamon juices when I first started but luckily I found this thread before I decided to get some cinnamon liquid. I got a protank and it holds up to most everything.

The juices aren't evil...just misunderstood.

I've got a good one....Fire n' Ice from a company that gets it's name blotted out like this juicy vapor.

I absolutely love this juice but it is some strong stuff. Actually ate the o-rings on my Phiniac and melted the cartomizer filler.

Im not bashing any liquid or vendor I do like the grenada just missed the info where it mentioned harming plastic tanks. Been wanting to try the fire and ice ive herd of that one before just cant remember where.

This issue with volatile flavors cracking/melting tanks comes up at least a couple times a week here on ECF. Just looking over the thread topics over the last couple of days or doing an ECF search on the subject would bring up previous discussions on the topic.

However, since it is a common and important issue, I won't fault you for starting a new thread, as other new vapors can learn from this.
