Can you believe the amount of smoke he can get out this custom made e-cig

The guy in the video goes by the ID: knutselpeter and seems to be one of the administrators for the http://e-cigaret.com forum. There is not much info I could gather on details or instructions to make it. I wish we could contact him and get some hints on making one. He also seems to be active with the same ID on english forum http://ecigforum.com/.

The only information that is known at this point is that he uses the atomizer from Janty Classic, added a manual switch and finally a good battery.

Actually, this is how the new K.I.S.S. Box came about.

After Knutselpeter showed his invention (it's an inhaler he had laying around his house) - the wheels starting turning and the K.I.S.S. Box was born. Knutselpeter has done a lot of reviews for the different e-cig products. He can be found on almost any forum that deals with e-cigs...

True, he designed the KISSBOX and the technique behind it. We were all fed up by non working products, batteries with switches and unnecessary micro chips and electronics inside that would just go crazy after a while or die on you (even our own brand batteries). So we decided to develop something new, that would be simpler and would not have these problems. And that's how I got in contact with KnutselPeter. We put Peter on a plane to China and he stayed with us for over a week to develop the KISSBOX together with our other engineers. As you can see in the video, that is what you can expect from the kissbox (of course in the shape of a pen model or mini cigarette).

i can also tell you that those who buy the KISSBOX will be able to buy a new designed model by June, this new model is even more simplified and we only sell it to customers who already bought the kissbox. The price will be as low as we can set it in order to just recuperate the cost of development and production. So watch out for our newsletter, we will announce this news, with pictures, by the end of this month.

Wait, what? What do you mean by new model? Do you mean just another form factor, like maybe a cigar or pipe model, but the same technology? Or do you mean the next generation of the technology? Because it would really suck if my shiny brand new toy were to be outdated just a month later. :x

Boo .. u must be scared.

But this is why I hate some of those technological companies out there. They know when they see good ideas and can actually make the best out of it, but at the same time, they also start inflating the costs by adding a simple term called "Newer Version". Duh... we know each year technology gets better, and with experience the product faults will be diagnosed and modified. This will "automagically" lead to a better new version, but that doesn't give you the right to jack up the prices by half and slap an addition charge on the enduser in the name of research and development.

Come on, this is the whole reason people nowadays always need to look and challenge themselves over hacking gadgets. The sole aim of hacking gadgets was purely fun factor oriented a decade earlier, now its like everyday chore to most. How many times, you go around and look for feasible alternatives on most items. Even here, we are always trying to work around the high prices in shipping and e-liquids.

Well anyways, all said, I found some more information on the custom cig. (if the translated pages actually meant what I was understanding :roll: ) It all started when he first dropped his cigarillo accidentally on the floor and broke it into two, he tried to patch it up in an old inhaler device and ended up to the final product. (All those people who know that the power and runtime of batteries su*k, please raise your hands :mrgreen: ) Well, he had also problems with battery though so replaced it with probably some higher power rating. And some tinkering on how to set atomizer and cartridge, he ended up with a marvelous design. And yes, I read in some posts he did go to China and worked in the labs to perfect the K.I.S.S.

I just hope that they start shipping the new product to the aspirants who are waiting in line and stop delaying it over again . Also in future, I am pretty sure that if their product rocks, the only way they can dominate the market if they can stop these inflated pricing and actually provide a reasonable alternative to buying the cigarettes and carts. If not I would be confident there would arise some other user who would definitely come up with a better hack and would be back at the drawing board to find a new name for the product.

Gotta reserve judgment until the marketed device is tested. This guy is puffing a BOX (see Philip Morris Heatbar, etc). And he's NOT inhaling at all. Let's hope the final product (a) looks like a cigarette or cigar, (b) produces EXHALED vapor clouds, and (c) costs well under $100 for an entire kit.

Sheez, we could put a real cigarette in a box if all we want is puffed smoke! And it's not particularly dangerous to PUFF smoke (as cigar and pipe smokers do with real, tasty tobacco that makes roomfulls of smoke).

If it's the real-deal improvement we've been waiting for, however, look for ripoffs within two months of introduction. Let the games begin.

Ruyan has been too expensive. There's no reason these simple things should cost more than a cell phone once they're in mass production. Heck, a $2 calculator I saw on sale yesterday is more complicated and sophisticated.

Sorry but if that's true, its just plain stupid.
Although I doubt its true, its just the best way to speak about the new product before June, without dropping KISSBOX's sales (as otherwise everyone would be waiting for the new product and wouldn't buy KISSBOX).
