Ok I am really getting tired of vendors selling products that are not brand names as they say they are. I have been vaping for over 2 years and this is still going on even with vendors that have a great reputation on ECF. I see this most with cartos because I order many. When the listing says Boge or Smoketch that is what I expect to get. This sort of thing may work on new people and it is wrong and misleading. If a vendor gets caught doing this they should be banned from ECF.

Although false advertising is a bad thing, I don't think in this case it's so bad. They are all made in China anyway, at least the 2 you named; and also the knock offs are generally cheaper than the genuine ones, and work just as well.

When someone starts knocking off HH.357 then we got something to worry about... or try out? O_O

I have no problems with knock offs if they work well.

I used to be big into mini bikes (helped run the biggest forum for them on the internet for awhile, never again) and you could get a cheap Chinese Honda clone engine for $100 when a real Honda would run you $300+. Those engines were just as good until you started pushing 16+hp out of them (6.5hp stock). Sure, some people wanted the Honda just because it was the best one, but for 95% of the people that posted on that site the cheap knock off worked just as well. I beat the living hell out of one that I had that was pushing around 13hp and it never missed a beat aside from tuning issues due to the mods that were done. 13hp is a lot for a mini bike since most of them you see for sale are in the 4-7hp range.

But in your case you knew that you were getting a clone. If I'm paying for a certain name part, I want that part (with what little QC that offers).

How would you have felt if you paid for a legit Honda and got the chinese bootleg?

Most newbies won't know the difference. They'll get generic parts (which are hit or miss for me, which is why I buy bulk) and think e-cigs are junk.

Vendors should just label generic parts, generic. OR offer some sort of QC and slap their name on it. I wouldn't mind paying for somebody on this side of the ocean QC'ing parts.

Concerning the first statement in bold: The VW Golf and the Bentley are made by the same freaking company, so.....

Concerning the second statement in bold: When it comes to cartos Boges are quite different than some of the others. I, for one, Don't want to order what are said to be Boge cartos and end up with Bauways. I can tell the difference in the performance. If this were to happen to me I would definitely cross that vender off of my list. A lie is a lie. I don't like liars.

I'm with you on this one. If you buy Boge and they ship you another brand that is wrong. If they are out of stock and want to substitute another brand they should only do so after confirming it with you. Any thing else is false marketing and fraud. Any vendor who operates this way should be banned.

Thats the same as bait and switch if you ask me. Its false representation in order to make a profit. Thats uncool and should be the same as stealing money. Money is hard to come by and people want what they pay for. Whats with all of the juice being priced through the roof these days? It is getting more and more expensive to vape these days and Its because everybody and their dog is selling eliquid now. Hard to tell which companys to spend your money with anymore.

If you buy a JOYE battery is it a JOYETECH? The price is low and I'm not complaing, just curious. It's not branded JOYETECH.

Joyetech battery's are all branded as Joyetech. A Joye battery might be a Joye battery but it's only a Joyetech if it branded as such.

I am one of the new ones. Just wondering if Boge cartos have boge written anywhere on them. The ones I have, from 2 different companies are just white boxes. Nowhere on them is the word Boge. They don't work as well as the cartos I bought from VaporNine along with my Nebula Kit. The hole in the threaded end is bigger in the ones I bought as Boge and seem to draw more air than vapor.

Mattie, My Boge Boxes have a "Dekang Inside" label on the side. I've never noticed them labeled as Boge per-say.

I am with the OP though. Counterfeits are unacceptable and any vendors selling them should be put on a "Buy At Your Own Risk" List. I think if that became a reality vendors who are serious about their business would think twice about trying to pull the wool over our eyes.

Thank you Frosting. The ones I got from VaporNine just say Turbo Cartomizers and I am sure that is what they are. They work really well. I went the less expensive route and ordered some from 2 other companies and both are the same. The box just says atomized cartridge. "Dekang inside" is also in small print on the side of the box.

I am not happy with them but I have 8 boxes of them. They just seem to draw too much air. Not at all like my original ones. So I guess my question to those in the know. Are the ones I bought as Boge true Boges and do they work as they are supposed to or are the ones I bought from Vapornine true Boges?

I don't know about "Turbo Cartomizers" from Vapornine I haven't personally used or heard or them to tell you if they are Boge or not. If you are happy with them though that's what counts. Someone else may be able to fill you in about that more then I.

Maybe the Boge Ohm you have with the cartos that seem to "draw too much air" are 3.0? I know with 3.0 if you're not using a high volt device they seemed a bit "airy" to me. It may have also just been one box. The others might turn out better. Not long ago Boge was having some quality control issues BUT hopefully by now that has cleared up. It does sound like the ones that has "Dekang Inside" on the side of the box are true Boge though.

I'm off to the gym! Good Luck with your cartomizers!

Thanks frosting. Yes, they are 3.0. Maybe that is why the hole on the threaded end is bigger than my original ones. Sometimes saving a few bucks isn't the best route. I don't know the ohm rating on the ones I got from VaporNine. I just know they work really good. Best to stay with what works. :)
