The twist can be pried apart by "rocking" the threaded end with a pair of pliers. Cover the threads with a rag to protect them.

I was making courtesy repairs for customers at a smoke shop I was working at.
Normally they would break the ground wire on the base cap, but sometimes the wires, where they connect to the board, would break.
Of course sometimes I just take things apart. Can you imagine how much vapor could be produced by a hair dryer at 1500 watts?

LOL ... if I took a hit off that setup, I think what's left of my hair would not only be dry, it would be standing straight up like a fright wig! I'm guessing it would be quite a juice hog, too ...

Hair is for those who don't have a perfect head.
I had some of it way back in the dawn of time...head with a ring of hair around it....looked like "Saturn".
