Just had a charger go on fire!!

It was one of the USB mains adaptor thingies that you plugged a USB charger into, just heard a couple of sharp cracks and then saw the flames. Didn't do any damage apart from the adaptor but if I had not been present it could have been a problem. The USB charger still works so it was a fault in the adaptor.

I hasten to add the was NOT supplied by any of the UK suppliers on this board, it was an eBay real cheapie.

if i were to count the number of wall leaches around my room i would run out of fingers and toes.. chinese products mostly made for the american market and not really happy on the UK 240 volts mains..

they dont normally catch fire thow.. just stop working..

Yikes! I leave my batteries charging while I'm asleep at night and sometimes while I'm gone. I guess it would be smart not to do that anymore.
