Hi all, haven't posted in a while. I'm heading to mexico in January and was wondering what I should expect by way of taking/using ecigs on the trip. I primarily rock mechs and drippers but was wondering how a mvp and protank combo would 'fly' on my trip. Anyone have any experience/insight on this matter? In case it matters, heading to Playa Del Carmen.

Wasn't I reading someplace recently that Mexico has outlawed e-cigs? I'm serious on this folks, not pulling any one's chain..

I'm pretty sure that the ban involves the sale and promotion of e-cigs, not use. I had no problem while there last month. In fact, I saw numerous shops still selling e-cig stuff, not that I needed anything... just bring your own supply. Headed back there in 3 months and plan on :vapor: :vapor: :vapor:

My biggest concern would be with the actual traveling aspect, with the TSA regulations about having liquid in your luggage, etc.

Travel and E-Cig

If you put it in your luggage be sure to put it in a zip Ziploc. I recently flew and had no problems with the bottles in the liquid bag.

TSA is very familiar with ecigs. Everybody said so, I was still surprised how little they paid attention to it. You want it in a bag in your luggage because the bottles may leak at altitude. I just had everything non-liquid in a seperate ziplock that I could pull out going through screening. It was a breeze.

Ive fly to Mx several times per year, never had the slightest problem with vape stuff either way or while there..

I carry on all my vape stuff now, removable batteries out of device in plastic battery case, juice in quart size ziplock bag with other liquids.
Non removable battery devices turned off going through security. Best to take labeled bottles of juice.

The only times Ive had any issues were in checked luggage, had 2 ego batteries removed, had juice removed twice, leaks dang near every time, all on domestic flights.

Hi guys, I´m mexican and the law that bans e-cigs it´s one that also bans chocolate cigarretes... According to this law, it is prohibited to import or comercialize anything that looks or resembles a cigarrete, it is not illegal to use it.

You may have a problem with customs officers at the port of entry, if they want to squeeze some bucks from you. Usually they don´t make a fuss unless you have lots and lots of stuff, since that would indicate intent to sell.

You´ll find vape kiosks and stores all over, and they are not allowed by law, but permitted. The only authority that can legally give you a hassle in respect to e-cigs are the customs officers (aduanas) or Cofepris officials, wich are in charge of health concerns (and I have never ever seen a cofepris official in my life).

So, just to be safe, if asked, call it a vaporizer and don´t flaunt it at the customs officer. After you pass the checkpoint, enjoy!
