Taking the bottom of the cartridge?

I think quitter means removing the restrictor thing at the tip of the mouthpiece, or in other words the little plate with the tiny hole in it that you draw the vapour through.

If i'm right, then no, you're not alone. I do it with all my carts. I just thread a narowish screw in there and pull the thing out. Can't say for certain that it makes any real difference, but I prefer it that way.

The only problem I've found with doing this is that it's much easier for raw, un-vaped nic juice to get into your mouth. Awful tasting stuff!! The restrictor does act as a barrier of sorts, so you'll have to be ultra cautious when topping up your carts, and maybe alter your e-smoking technique. I always draw on my 901s with the LED end held lower than the mouthpiece these days. Gravity then tends to keep the nic juice a safe distance away from my mouth :).
