Looking to make the next step.....

Currently I have a couple spinners, and a Vamo. Basically use EVODs for the most part, mini pt 2, and pt 2. I'm looking to start getting into the basics of rba's and rda's. Trying to keep it simple and take a slow. What next step up from Vamo would make sense? SVD, provari, zmax? Also, I'm really interested in finding a hybrid dripper. My logic is that way I can get into dripping and rebuildables, and mechs at the same time. Also looking for some different tanks. Absolutely love the mini pt2, but need larger capacity. Any suggestions appreciated.

Do you have any local vape shops perhaps? Rebuilding coils need some electricity basics knowledge for your own safety, which a local shop could show you first hand. Don't go cheap on your batteries and charger. As for a hybrid dripper, the only one I can think of at the moment is one by Vicious Ant called the Valkyrie, however they pulled it off the market a few months back to redesign it and later re-launch it (which ironically should've been around now). BTW, congrats on joining and your first post.

Start with a VV/VW mod like an SVD or something around there. That will give you time to vape on something that is better than a spinner while your doing research on Mechs and Rebuildables. You need to Do some reading on battery safety, ohms and your amps. Not trying to sound like a nanny but It's for the safety of your Face and your Hand,,,, Which you'll need.

Got a local shop about it 20 mins away. They seem a little pricey though. Nice enough staff though. But they don't seem to have much really in stock. Another place about an hour away, been meaning to make a trip eventually. Seem to remember reading about the Valkyrie. Saw another hybrid on fast tech that was about 30 bucks, but seems a little cheap to me. So many choices for everything....lol

Are you looking for a backup APV or trying to get more than what you get from your Vamo? I'm not sure whether the SVD and ZMax will give you anything new (except maybe for build quality and reliability -- I have a Vamo, but neither of these other two devices).

Mech mods are a different league of APV, but these might not necessarily be the sort of thing you're after. Here's an ECF blog that will lay out some of the basics: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/blogs/baditude/5058-10-advancing-up-vaping-ladder-egos-mods.html

Welcome to the forum btw.

Yes, basically a backup to the Vamo. Just an alternative to have around. While I am happy with the Vamo, would like something with better build quality, a little fancier. .lol. As far as mechs go, the main reason I'd like to is 5 be able to use an rda. Seems I read somewhere, dripping results seem better on a mech. Not a big hurry, just taking things slowly

I just made the transition to Vamo V3 from Egos and use an Omega clone and an X-1 RDA. I have a local shop with an owner operator with a lot of knowledge and is willing to teach. I've experimented with a few coil setups and have had really good results. As already stated, the right good batteries can make a big difference. You're not going to roll Youtube Mech Clouds, which from what I understand can't be done with most, if any, VV/VW. Those guys are using sub-ohm builds that require ALOT of experience to do properly. I know what you mean by the priciness of the brick and mortars, but if you can't learn anywhere else I would consider paying the extra money. At least on some of their products. Consider their markups an education fee:) I am also going to move to a mech setup…when I'm ready.
