Hi, I've been thinking about stepping up the e-cig operations over here...
I have tried reading through the information and reviews here on ECF,
and have come to the conclusion that I must ask for some help.

I just read a review of the system I was considering and it said it sucked.
...or made you suck, too hard before you could get a drag.

And then I read a post about the battery I was considering blowing up on somone.

So... any recommendations on a good 510 battery with usb passthrough?

The cone is only used if you use a 510 atomizers or regular cartomizers, and even then it is not absolutely neccessary. It is mainly for appearance. If you use eGo-T atomizers and tanks you will not need a cone.

I am not aware of any drip tips for eGo-T attomizers, and I'm not even sure you can drip on them. For dripping use a regular 510 or 306 atomizer with the appropriate drip tip.

Any 510 atomizer/cartomizer should fit the eGo-T batteries.

I would highly recommend you get at least two batteries and two atomizers. You don't want to be left without in case something fails.

Since you were a heavy smoker, you may want to consider a unregulated 3.7V kit/battery. KGo, Riva and ePower are pretty good devices and can be bought for less than $50.00 for a starter kit. For less than $40.00 you can also get a SmokTech Ego kit with 2 batts, 5 cartos and a case.

Good Luck...

There are a few routes you could go with the bat. You can use the ego-t atomizer system with has its ups and downs, as you have heard, or you could even upgrade to the ego-c atomizer (which is an atty head that sits on a base, inside of the cone.) With that, the only thing that needs to be cleaned or replaced is the atty head which can be found for $4-$5 usually. On my ego-c I have been rotating the same heads out for over a month and no problems. You can also use a stardust or the like as its made for an ego (its a clearo and IMO works really good and also $5-$6), and the ego bat also has 510 threads that will fit most attys, cartos, clearos, etc. Just remember that you should be selecting an appropriate ohm rating for your voltage.

I would not recommend a regular eGo. Why settle for less volts and less power and pay more for it? The ego is only 3.4 volts and comes standard with a 650 mAh battery.

In the same size and cost category, I would suggest you look at the Kgo 510, E-Power 510 or the EVO. The Kgo and E-Power are both 3.7 volts (higher volts, warmer vapor, better vape) and come standard with 1000+ mAh batteries. The EVO goes all the way up to 5.0 volts.

I would look beyond the over-hyped eGo and consider better options.

Good Luck

I ended up listening to you, wv2win, and going with a kgo kit, found a good deal on hoosiercig.
Comes with 2 1100mAh batts at 3.8V, 2 LR atomizers, 6 cartriges, charger and adapter.
I also got a 5 pack of some dual coil cartos, and a clearomizer to give those a try.
And of course some juice, since I like the Mistic and 21st Century "tobacco" I got some Dekang RY4.
I found a 5% off coupon on here, and it ended up being I think $56, and $55 gets free shipping.
So now to wait on that shipping and then...

That's good to hear. From all of the satisfied Hoosier Kgo users who post on ECF, you will be in good company.:)

I must express my thanks yet again to you, wv2win, Stef64 and PittBoss;
for I am reaping the fruits of your recommendations.

This KGO kit is performing exceedingly well.
Leagues better than, incomparable to, the crappy Mistic I had before.

I am finding that I do not like the "cartridges" that come with the KGO,
but it works flawlessly with the dual coil LR cartos.
The XL clearomizer is nice too, though it's not as "vaporiferous."

The atomizers though, they may be the best part,
I should have ordered a drip tip, as dripping may be my favorite of all the methods.
The empty cartridges suffice, but must be removed and re-inserted each drip.
A small glass dropper works most excellently for this, by the way.

I fear the 50mL of juice I acquired may not be enough.

So, thank you, though you may have created a monster -
one which billows forth great clouds of vapor, instead of smoke. :vapor:
