Talk about being out of touch

I'm kind of glad that my son had to watch what happens when people who aren't prepared for kids have kids. My Brother in law has 3 and the different grandparents have custody of all of them. Now one of his friends has a 1 yr old and he sees how much work it is and how hard it is to be able to do anything with your friends if you have a kid. His girlfriend's mom has a 3 yr old and she knows how much it would affect her life to get pregnant young. They dated for a year before having sex. I'm glad I taught him to wait until he was with someone he really really loved. They're only 18, but I think they are handling things very maturely because of what they have seen friends and family go through. And no, we didn't drag him to church and he and his girlfriend are both atheists. But they were both taught respect for others and themselves.
