So I've been looking at mechanical mods and rba's all week and keep finding myself browsing reo's site checking out the mini 2.1 and rm2. Seems to be exactly what I've been looking for, and look so damn sexy lol. Problem is that is quite a price tag, and convincing my better half that its a justified purchase may mean keeping my promising of decreased vape purchases for a while. Am I going to feel I made the right choice in the next few months without a new toy?

Side question on the reomizer: its a regular 510 connection correct? So for testing purposes one could use a regulated pv like my SID?

Welcome, wutarush :)

Reomizer is 510. But I don't know anything about the SID, so I can't answer that part.

I can only speak for myself....I've never felt the need to seek out or buy anything else since I got my first Reo nearly 3 years ago...well, except for another Reo  but no need to focus on that. At one time in our house we had vape mail coming and going on a daily basis. But now days...we hardly ever send or receive anything vaping related in the mail. Set up with a few Reos, RM2s, we DIY our own juices and we have a ridiculously large selection of batteries. We maybe spend $20/month on vaping stuff...if that (on average). Just so you understand, we went through hundreds of devices, atomizers, cartomizers (when they came out), batteries, chargers...you name it. Thousands and thousands of dollars spent over 6 months while I was still smoking, unsatisfied with vaping. The arrival of my first Reo ended all that for me.

In regards to the price tag, all I can say is its worth it. It works...and if for some reason it doesn't, it is fixable. I have no doubt that my Reos will last longer than I will. So it is an investment...but very worth it, in my opinion. But, I am biased.

If you get a REO and an RM2, you won't want anything else for awhile.....except another REO and another RM2. It's a slippery slope....trust me.

Am I going to feel I made the right choice in the next few months without a new toy?

The REO and the RM2 (in my experience......read around this forum and you'll see I'm not alone) is the be-all, end-all vaping destiny. It'll be the best vape you've ever had....really. It IS that good.

It is a 510 connection; I don't know what a SID is....and for testing what? Ohms? People use their Provaris to test ohms...is that what you mean? If it has an ohms readout, then yes.

I know I should be saying things like "In my opinion, and I feel, and I think you would....," and not sounding so sure that it's for you. BUT....it's just true: the REO and the RM2 is the best vape I've ever had, and I've been doing this for over three years now. If you're tempted, then you're not going to be happy 'til you scratch that itch. I'm telling you that a REO and an RM2 will do it.

I know it's a little pricey, but the RM2 is really inexpensive for an RBA, and coils/wicks cost pennies. The REO is a quality piece of work that will last forever. In the long run, it's very economical. You could go without ever having to buy another mod. However, as you're reading around this forum you'll see how unlikely that really is. No Reonaut that I know of has only one.... So be careful of the promises you make.... :)

The biggest problem most of us tinkerers and stuff-buyers have with the REO (I have 2 Grands) is that we get confused with the degree of satisfaction, vape quality, and contentedness we experience. You really don't need to buy anymore stuff if you have a REO and an RM2. Around here, we seem to buy more stuff anyway. . . . . . more REOS and the RM2s to go with them. On a positive note (considering your aims) I did manage to wait something like 2 days short of 2 months to get my second Grand.

The RM2 is regular 510; but you'll have to find a way to keep your juice from flowing out the squonk hole.

That's a lot of quick responses lol, thanks all!! Sounds to me like I have been looking into the right pv.

The SID is a pretty basic tube mod by smoktech btw for those who didn't know. It has a ohm reader like a lot if other vv/vw pv's. I don't want to use the rm on it I just wanted to make sure I could test my coils without needing to purchase a multimeter. Sounds like that is a yes, thanks guys.

Quite a few people have posted that their expensive tube mod is now a ohm reader. If yours has a 510 connection it should work fine to check ohms.

The REO's also hold their value. So if you ever decide to sell you will get close to what you paid. That doesn't happen much but is good to know.

You might want to consider a Grand. Many people opt of a mini because of size but are surprised by the size of the Grand being smaller than they thought. I would get out some cardboard and a ruler and make a cut out of the Grand and Mini and compare them for size. You won't go wrong with either mod though. IF you are a heavy vapor the Grand is nice. You also might end up vaping more than you do now because the Reos make it so easy top get a great vape all day long.

Don't mind me, I'm just here to echo what everyone else has said ;)

Watarush, you can't go wrong with the REO. I bought a variety of hardware over the course of five months in search of a truly great vape. I was even (relatively) frugal about it and still spent several hundred dollars on various equipment before I finally came to my senses and settled down in REOville.

As far as I'm concerned the REO is what I call "end-game" hardware. For me it just doesn't get any better.

Also, like nerak said, they hold their value really well so it's not exactly a risky endeavor... unless you account for wanting more of them after you realize what great hardware they are :D

I was originally considering the mini becausei saw on the site that there were a few blemished ones for a little cheaper. I think I may just go with the grand since I already have the 18650's for it. I'm a pretty heavy vaper so the extra battery life sure wouldn't hurt. Plus I see there is a nice orange and black one to match my flyers gear... Hopefully there is still one left in a week when I got the scratch.

I have to second that. I bought a mini and immediately knew it was the end of my search. I even bought a 2nd mini (for backup, which I've never needed). But after a couple of months, I realized I could have the same thing with a grand, just with twice the vaping capacity.

The grand is really much smaller than it looks, and I find I can put in a fresh battery and juice bottle in the morning, and it lasts me ALL day and well into the night. I can even leave for hours of shopping/errands and never worry about my vape. It's always there, always ready to deliver the hands-down best vape I ever had.

And unloaded is right, get the AW IMR batteries, they really DO make a tremendous difference. If you're looking for the end of the search, you've found it. :)
