starting to have too many kicking around. storage suggestions appreciated

Depends on what kind of storage your looking for.

If your wanting something nice looking that you can keep out and keep all your attys handy then you can do what many people do and DIY something How to make your own atty stand - DIY time! to suit your specific needs.

Or, you can go on Etsy or eBay for a wooden stand that someone else diy'd if your not particularly handy, or jwraps for a commercially made stand.

If you want to know how to store them as in storage, I keep them in their original boxes, in Ziploc bags, in a storage box underneath the bed. My box cost 7.00 on sale IRIS 40 Qt. Underbed Store and Slide Storage Box in Clear-170286 - The Home Depot but they sell them all the time at places like home depot.

Or, if you aren't handy Jwraps makes a beautiful set of stands. I was lucky enough to win one, and it would have never occurred to me that such items exist! Definitely a good thing for a disorganized person such as myself! It was of top-notch quality, too, and very heavy and well put together. A place for everything, too, LOL.
