Someone decided to actually sell the little hub punch: Cartomizer Punch

$6 for the hub plus two screws. Pretty much at cost, after including the s&h to get the screws.

Costs less than a saddle valve.

(i'm not a supplier, get nothing from this, just glad to see someone make this affordable, good, punch available.)

ahh very cool, i did get over to lowe's but was unable to find the hub so gave up...good idea that vendor selling them cheap, will encourage people to pick up a few things from his site...

Yes, I think it's a decent move, and he checked with me since it is exactly the thing I posted.

Easier than messing with finding the screws (they aren't cheap at onesy-twosy). This really does work better/easier/more consistently than a saddle valve, IMO, and at less than half the price of the other for-sale carto punches.

He's got a pyrex tank on there for 11.99. Impressive though the filling doesn't seem very easy.
