I use 3 & 6ml tanks with the standard ST flanged cartos (single hole). I have noticed, with a small minority of these cartos, that vapor will flow into the tank when I am taking a puff (and the intake hole is not covered by juice - typically when flooding occurs I will angle the tank to get "dry" hits). Anyone know what/why this is? Most cartos don't do this at all, but some will do it every time.

Its funny you mention this. I had noticed this last week on a DCT 6ml tank with a DCT cartomizer. It was flooding alot - actually I don't know if it was flooding the carto so much as it seemed to be leaking a bit around the bottom of the tank. At first I thought it was just the way the light was hitting the tank - but then looking closer I could see vapor in there. Looked kinda cool actually. :)

I swapped out that carto a day later (same tank, same seals) and it hasn't happened again.

This has happened to me in the past, ONLY with smoktech cartos, which figures. They have such a loose filler material they are far more prone to flooding than boges are. The fact that vapor is allowed to flow back into the tank shows there's very little resistance to any flow, whether it be in or out of the hole. I've gone through probably 100 ST cartos in the past and it seemed about a quarter of them would flood like crazy regardless of anything else.

I think they are great cartos for stand alone use, but for tanks they are far too inconsistent IMHO. I'd suggest switching to boges if you want to ease the problem.
