Hey all. I just joined up to post in the tanks forum, only to discover that I need to meet the five-post restriction first... so guess I might as well post the question here to start.

I am vaping at home, largely as a way of managing analog intake / cravings, but the SO doesn't know and, uhhhh, doesn't need to know. It's a long story, don't ask. :) I used basic gas-station 510s and prefilled cartos for a couple years; no tanks were available that wouldn't leak in my pocket, far as I knew.

A few months ago I switched to a nicer stealth rig consisting of super-short eGo batteries (350/400mAh) and EVOD bottom-coil tanks. The combo is great for pocketing - about the same length as an analog cig / just a little fatter, and the EVODs were my choice as they officially don't leak when pocketed or turned upside down.

...Officially. The EVODs do spring leaks over time, usually around the sidetank sightglasses, and I've bought a couple that CAME with slow leaks in those areas. Not cool.

My priorities are unusual, in that I don't care that much about vape quality or tweaking my rig for performance. I just need something as small as possible that I can slam into a jeans pocket, coat pocket or bag, and grab for a quick few "nicotine emergency" hits when SO leaves the room or line of sight. I also need it immune to leakage regardless of storage angle and relatively immune to mild impacts or pressure when sitting in my pocket.

Oh yeah, and I tried going back to short polyfill-based 510-style cartomizers, but there's another problem with many of them aside from lackluster taste: they can be very noisy, especially in shorter form factors. "What's that crazy hissing sound I keep hearing?", she asks from the bathroom. Not gonna work!

Is there anything better than the EVODs for my wacky, sneaky purposes that y'all know about?

Yep, those are the batteries I'm using. I've tried shorty cartomizers like the ones shown in the first picture but, as I said, they are often too noisy - they can easily be heard from 20, 30 feet away behind closed doors in operation. Also, I'd prefer to stick with something like a tank because I've found with the EVODs that the taste really is a lot better and filling is also much faster.

So I bought Blu ciggs starter kit (unsatisfied) and tried to sell it ( no luck) then I went to vapure and bought a 510drip hybrid atomizer and juice. It's the same size as the original. (actually the size of Marlboro 72s. I carry a bottle of juice in my pocket and drip 7 drops to initially prime it. 5 to re-up it. Works great. Batteries are only 90mah, but I have the starter kit that charges my batteries. Tastes great too. If you are trying to keep it hidden use a higher pg juice (less vapor)

Hmm yeh...
I'd look into the Mini-Protank II. Should perform about the same as your evod,
since it uses the same heads. Just sturdier construction (stainless, Pyrex).
Haven't tried the Mini myself, only the big protank II, but that gets my vote.
Have a quick search about the Mini. From what i have read... if anything...
people seem to prefer the vape from the mini- over the standard Protank.
