I've been looking around at other juice venders. I haven't strayed from my two suppliers I really like, but just thought I look at the vast universe of e-juice. I noticed that some have warnings of certain flavors will crack plastic tanks. Since I am pretty much a noob, if it would crack a tank do I really want to vape this? WTH do they put in it that would do this?
It's just the polycarbonate many (most?) cartos are made with react badly to some liquids. Especially citrus. Cinnamon too by the way. I'm currently ruining a disposable CE4 with a new juice I have come to really like because I'm out of wicks for my metal Vivi Nova Mini. And, yeah, okay, I may be inhaling a bit of nasty from the essentially dissolving polycarbonate of the carto but I spent 30+ years inhaling tobacco smoke every day so how much risk is a day or two of poly something or other while the wicks get here?
See, that's the thing. Basically (and I could show you actually), some liquids actually dissolve the polycarbonate shell. The "plastic" part of the carto. This may or may not cause to inhale some amount of chemicals that are not meant for human consumption and, eventually, the tank part of the carto breaks. The liquids aren't bad for you, they're bad for the plastic and the chemicals that can come from the breakdown of the plastic could be bad for you.
Also, messy. As in the tank cracks and you get leaks.
But citrus is one of the ones that is really rough on polycarbonate and that's fruits. Which, as you know, are good for you.
(Not that vaping citrus gets you vitamins or anything but eating fruit is a healthy, good thing right?)
