Tank crackers?

I know Citrus and cinnamon can crack a tank are there any others look out for? I have a Kaos Erebus. Serpen smm and baby Beast rba kit. Are they plexiglass or glass? Glass should be okay with those flavors but what about plexiglass? And lastly. Are they made out of any other materials besides plastic? I know a lot of questions but I want to cover my bases.

I'm pretty sure all modern tanks are glass, I haven't heard about cracked tanks for a couple years. Anyway, I believe banana and root beer were known crackers. There was a list put together on the forum years ago but don't remember were it is.

My baby beast rda tube cracked with blueberries cinnamon crumble. Looked online to see was made of but couldn't find anything. I thought maybe was plexi glass is plexi glass known to crack?

Like what AzPlumber said, most most modern tanks are glass, but he's mainly referring to the subohm atomizers. There are still some of the CE4's/Egos still being sold. If you have something that has a plastic tank of any kind, I would look at the above posts that Az posted earlier (mainly citrus, but there are others)

If you have any tank that is glass, whether it be quartz, or pyrex, you should be fine. Usually the subohm or modern Rebuildables are glass, but there are a few pen styles.

Plexiglass is Acrylic so it might crack too

the way I test for plastic tanks is to heat up a needle and just touch the tank ( in a inconspicious place) and watch for deformation or a small puff of smoke.

It was the drop on the floor, not the juice, that cracked that tank.

The only plastic seem much these days in tanks, not older clearo style, is Ultem. It is supposed to be more resistant to cracking, but isn’t as sure a thing as glass. OTOH, it doesn’t break nearly as easy as glass when under the influence of gravity when reaching the floor.

Anise is also a tank melter. Pluid has ruined many a tank of mine!

Could be the tube had a flaw that caused the crack or being tightened down too much. The cinnamon in a mix shouldn't have been a problem. I vape strong citrus juices and have no problems using in BBB.

The BBB is definitely glass unless you bought some custom colored plastic part you added yourself. The only tanks, not clearos, that come with something other than glass are some high end low volume RTAs but they always at least use Ultem, not plain plastic.

Probably. I was able to break glass with my banana when I tried to walk through a sliding glass door.

I'd be extremely surprised to find any modern tanks to be using plastic. Most are quartz or pyrex glass. There are probably some CE4 clearomizers still on the market which are made of polycarbonate plastic.
