I've been vaping off and on since January. Went back to analogs a month or two ago because personal drama drove me back to "the real thing," but my dentist's discovery that my teeth are apparently destroying themselves has convinced me to come back.

When I previously vaped I used a Puck mod with an RN4081 connector and attempted a syringe tank mod, liked it for the first hour or so, but then the eliquid seemed to take on a rubbery taste from the rubber grommets on the syringe. Got new grommets, washed and soaked them overnight in dish soap, washed them again, put it together, same problem. I'm not entirely sure as to the cause; I was pushing too much voltage on standard cartos (RN4081 cartos are hard/impossible to find in higher ohm's or dual coil) which I think could have heated the rubber and released something, and I was using a citrus-based eliquid which I've heard can cause things to break down.

Now that I'm back, I've rebuilt my Puck with a 510 connector. I'd love to get a tank, and am considering the J-Tank, but just concerned that this might continue to be a problem. I know Citrus is kind of a no-go for tanks apparently, but am I likely to get that rubber taste with these tanks as well? Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions guys.

It's the end caps that are the main problem. If you get a tank with either delrin or stainless steel end caps, you should not have any problems. Alot of tanks are made with plastic tubing, but there are some like the Phiniac that are made of glass, which will help also. That's what I use, Phiniac. Also, something else you probably haven't considered are the plastic bottles that your juice is stored in. If you can put your juice in a glass container, that would help also.
