Tank Recommendation

Hello all,

First post here...started vaping 3 weeks ago with an Itaste VV using a Kanger T3S. It's been quite an adventure sorting out all the lingo and such. My style is such that I'm much more comfortable with an e-pipe, so I shopped around and have also purchased the Beauticig King E-pipe. Two days into it, I like it a lot, but...I'm already wanting to make some changes.

It came with a ViVi Nova (ver. 1?) top feed tank, and while serviceable, I'm not crazy about how it seems to have muted the taste of my juice (Anna Mae's Hanky Panky), nor the top feed system, nor the fact that the tank is clear (cosmetic I know, but it kind of ruins the effect of it being a pipe for me). So, what I am looking for recommendations on is a new tank which has a bottom feed system, won't mute the flavor, has a black "sleeve" covering like a SmokeTech Pyrex ViVi Nova (I am very open to a pyrex tank), and has a flat top which will accommodate my my pipe bit drip tip. I would go for a Kanger Aerotank V2 or similar, but they don't appear to have any sort of black colored tank that I can find. Should I just go for one of those and cover the outside with black electrical tape like I have on my ViVi Nova, or are there other possibilities out there that I may be missing?

Thanks

I took the long route to find my new fave. I had to do it on my own listening to the vape shop sales people.
Anyway, you should really look at the ASPIRE Nautilus Mini. I found a premium kit with everything you need for about $65 shipped! I spent more than that on my first purchase at the local store. I got an ismoka plastic piece of crap something or other single wick and a couple juices. I don't pretend to be any expert but, from my experience I am very happy with this setup for the non-mod group. I am probably the pickiest person you will ever find as I am a Scientist and am always looking into the future. I just trust people tooo much and should have really done my own research in my early days.

Good Luck!

Hey man, I too am relatively new to a ping having only been doing it a few months now. I was not diggin a ping at all at first with my ego battery and iclear16 tanks, so looking for more I jumped straight to rebuildables and haven't looked back. Yeah, at first it was a real b!tch to build a coil but after like 6 - 10 builds it's a cakewalk. You get so much more vapor and flavor. But if that's not for you then I recommend to go with a Aspire Nautilus Mini. It has a Pyrex tank and the new coils they use are closer to RBA flavor than any other clearomizer. And if you rally want a black tank just take the Pyrex tube or the whole atomizer and tape off any parts where you don't want paint and paint it with a certain type of paint that is excellent for glass. I don't quite remember the name but if you search Amazon.com for "TFT Translucent Black Paint" it should pop up, if it doesn't just don't type the TFT part. Good luck man

Thanks for the responses...however, I may not have been clear. I am not looking for a tank to go with my Itaste VV, I've already got that covered...I am looking for a suitable tank to go on my King e-pipe (which has a 510 connector, not an eGo one). As such, tanks like the "minis" won't aesthetically work on my e-pipe, nor would adding a 510 to eGo connector. The Aerotank Mega would theoretically work, but I'm not a chain vaper, so such a large tank really wouldn't have much benefit for me. In addition, the Mega seems to have a 13/16ths in. diameter, which is just ever so slightly larger than the 3/4" diameter of my pipe shank. which is why I was thinking about a Aerotank V2 which does have a 3/4" diameter. Something like the Evod is much like I am seeking as far as having a covered tank with a window to see fluid level, but alas, the Evods have a pesky eGo connector and the drip tip is permanently attached.

Sounds like I may have to go with the Smoktech Vivi Nova Pyrex tank and just be happy with the top feed, or the Aerotank V2 and figure out a way to color the housing to get more or less what I am looking for.

My King e-pipe (note my "drip tip" covers the entire cap so I need a tank with a flat top cap): HTB1AwH1FFXXXXcvXVXXq6xXFXXXC.jpg

Smoktech ViVi Nova (which is perfect except I would prefer a bottom feed system and don't know how leakproof etc. it is):

The nautilus mini, much to my dislike, uses 510 thread; perhaps that would be of interest; but it does not have a black outer jacket I'm afraid;

but there does seem to be a black (as well as other color) replacement glass option:

That tank is asking him to learn how to rebuild or know someone that knows how to rebuild. Great tank yes, but a little on the advanced side and sometimes pricey.

Top of the tank is a bit tapered, but relatively about what you are looking for being a bottom feed tank in diameter you are looking for.
