I have a Silver Bullet on the way and was wondering about folks recommendations for a tank and the appropriate carto. I was reading the threads about certain juices cracking polycarbonate tanks, so I either want a polyethylene or (preferably) a pyrex tank.

I think the phinias tanks look very nice, but they are pretty pricy as well. If I went with a Phinias XL, would single coil CCV Resurrectors work in them? Or does it have to be some dual coil carto?

Any other recommendations or thoughts?

Thanks :)

J-Tank from the elctronicstix website...

"THIS SHOULD BE COMMON KNOWLEDGE BY NOW BUT E-LIQUIDS CONTAINING CINNAMON EXTRACT CAN AND WILL CRACK THE POLYCARBONATE TUBING"

Siam tank from the COV website...

"Frosted Polycarbonate round shape Carto Tank!"

= no go

Sorry, I should have bolded the "so I either want a polyethylene or (preferably) a pyrex tank." part. I also should have clarified that I am looking for a tank I can see into for ease of determining the juice level.

Thanks for you input though :)

The naked ones are less expensive, but the craftsmanship of the more decorative tanks are worth the $. They are really unique. The Carto page does say the XL will fit a Resurrector.

Edit: I asked the same question, and Waho was kind enough to post a picture of the Naked Green Phiniac tank on his Silver Bullet, here's the picture he posted.

I should have been clearer then.
They both offer uncrackable delrin tubes. The Siams are available in round or square.

My SB/Phiniac is almost famous haha.

If you check the Phiniac Facebook page now and then they run 10-15% off sales on them.

I was a little skeptical about a glass tube and its durability at first, but after dropping it on the concrete/steel floors at work a few times and vaping with it at this moment, I'm a believer :)

Here are our his and hers SB's. Both are Stainless Steel Caromator Tanks from Nhaler. I like these tanks a lot. Not to big, not to small. It's a great quality tank. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1341176287.325297.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1341176305.443148.jpg

It seems since knowledge that polycarbonate tanks are vulnerable to certain e-liquids, alternative tank casings are becoming more available. Delrin has been around a long time, but is barely transluscent, let alone barely able to allow light thru it to see juice levels. Metal tubes have been around a long time, too, but again no juice levels.

The newer version of Smoktech's DCT tanks use polypropylene. It is stronger than polycarbonate, and although it has a frosted appearance, easily allows one to see juice levels. It is also immune to nasty e-liquids. I have several of these from 510 Pro DCTank Combo . I would prefer pyrex glass, but I wanted several tanks in my arsenal and couldn't afford that many glass tanks. Here are is my colection of DCT tanks.

Phiniac appears to be the most popular glass tank manufacturer at the moment. There are more on the way, the Hoosier site sells a naked Phiniac look-a-like. There is also The Clean Tank.

There's a new vendor offering a great price ($12 sale price) on his version of a pyrex glass tank. Triple V Pyrex Tanks
He makes them in 4 and 7 ml capacity, clear or frosted (no colors yet). He designed his own grommets which are a unique design. He also has polypropylene and polycarbonate models, too. All models look a little rough aesthetically, but for the price are definitely worth a look. I ordered 2 of the 7 ml clear pyrex tanks and should get them sometime this week...will let you know what I think after trying one out.

What is the case, and where did you get it?

:)
I found it at a Hobby Lobby craft store. It was a sewing mini-tool kit with little pliers, scissors, etc. I don't recall the brand name, but it was $17 for the tools and case. It's very handy for the tanks. Like I said before, I use the latest version of the DCT tanks, polypropylene casings, and have not had a leak yet (can't say the same for the polycarbonate versions).

I just ordered 2 of the frosted pyrex and 2 of the jumbo poly tanks, prices right now are flippin LOW LOW LOW, I can't wait to get this order and try them all out! Hell, for ~ 8 bucks a poly tank, if the grommets and O-rings hold up, its almost not worth the time to make your own.
