The only tanks I have any experience with are the SmokTech DCTs with their 2 and 3 ohm carto's. I have the tanks with the metal end caps and never had even a drop of leakage from the. Easy to fill and clean. Can't say my luck has been so great with their cartos though. But from what I read here, most carto brands seem to be hit and miss. Fortunately, they're pretty cheap so the duds don't hurt so much.

I've been trying to find a good tank that was inexpensive for a while now. The one that I've found that I really like is the DCT.

Altsmoke and Madvapes carry them, as well as a slew of other vendors. Madvapes has replacement O-rings for them, both carry new cartos to go inside for when yours burn out.

I think for tank/carto systems, the tank itself matters little as long as it doesn't leak. The key is the carto. I went through a lot of pre-punched Smoketechs DC SR and LR on a VV PV. Some (3 out of 5) performed well (I thought). Then, I ordered some SC SR Boges, slotted them per PBusardo's video, and wow, what a difference! No flooding, good wicking no matter the juice thick or thin. I'm really kind of shocked! The vapor is incredible. The taste is great. And I'm vaping at a much lower voltage.

Where do you get them?

Dual Coil Cartomizer Tank
I have four KGOs and love them. I use these tanks, which come with dual coil cartos but I really prefer the single coil cartos on the KGO.. they just seem to work better for me. You can get dual coil or single coil in the replacement cartos, the 1.7ohm are better but the 2.0ohm work well also. I'm getting a week, at least, out of these before having to change them.

If you're willing to shell out the bucks, I'd recommend glass, for several reasons. First, they don't add anything to the flavor. Second, all of the glass tanks I've seen are made from Pyrex and are practically indestructible. Third, you don't have to worry about the plastic (assuming you're concerned about crap like BPA's). Fourth, you don't have to worry about the juice you use cracking them. Finally, they just look cool! :D

I just ordered one from here:

The Phiniac Tank - Phiniac Rugged Pyrex Glass Tanks

All their tanks are 10% off right now if you use this code:
Shipfree10.

BTW, if you want to see how indestructible they are, they have videos of people doing things like throwing them against garage doors and dropping them on concrete floors. :2cool:

Somewhere out there
High Desert Ecigs is having a $10.00 off sale this weekend on his hand blown pyrex tanks, I have one and it was my first tank, love it. Does not leak and was really easy to get the hang of for a newbie tank user like me. Glass tanks can take all juices, no worry about them tasting plastic or cracking from ejuices. bnrk

I'd recommend the Smoketeck 3.5ml tank with the kGo. It is the same diameter as the battery so they look like they were destined to be together. Add the adapter to cover the external threads.

Adapter for Dual Coil Tanks

I made my first purchase from Hoosier, and many more since then. Great company to do business with.

Rader, thank you for the suggestion. I'm having an adapter problem. I got this tank.

GotVapes SMOKtech Clear eGo Dual Coil 3.5ml Tank 1.5ohm - CLEAR [gv-SMOKtech-eGo-DCT-clear] - $11.95 : GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more

I got it home and it didn't fit. I'll post pics. Didn't read the line that said it needed an adapter. So I ordered a 510 to ego adapter. It still doesn't fit. I don't get it.

Second picture is with adapter.
Third picture is without adapter.
First picture showing how cart slides up when tank is very slightly pushed down onto battery. Slides VERY easily.

What do I do? It connects either way and I can vape with it. I'd like to fix it because I like it a lot better than the stardusts. Lots of nice vapor.

Thanks!

Ok hold on. Please remember I am totally new to this and trying to figure it out.

Question. So there is a hole in the cart to allow juice from tank to seep through. Got that part. So I just noticed that when I push the tank down onto the battery, the cart slides up and I can see the hole in the cart. This should be right, right? I mean, the juice has to get to the hole. Does this mean picture number one is the correct way for it to look?

Just went back and looked at the pictures on the website and the silver tube is showing at the top where the drip tip connects. So I guess I'm a total dumbass and didn't need an adapter? Ugh.

Picture #1 is correct. That tank is designed for eGo type devices of which the kGo falls into; alas, no adapter needed. The adapter that you have is to allow you to use ego style cartos/clearos with a non-eGo type battery or mod.

The hole in the carto needs to be visible through the tank. If you look close as you vape you will see tiny air bubbles come from the hole. This means that the tank is feeding correctly and the air bubbles are equalizing the pressure as the juice is drawn into the carto.
