christy: I really like that SS tank you got. I'll pick it up as well. But, now I'm concerned about this o-ring issue that was brought up in this thread with the slotted cartos. have you been able to select any alternative cartos?
yeah i thought it looked sharp ! ha leave it to a girl to spend extra on looks :p

Joye510 Atomizer for Electronic Cigaratte. This is the one I got. Listed as "Ohms: 2.8-3.2 +/-" So, I guess I'll be okay.
well unless you exchange them for SR, you could find out why some love HR... if they are 3.5, 3.6 it still leaves a lot of range: 4.0 to 5.3v or so. Once you get up in 4.+ Ohms, you have to go high v like 5.+ and up.... again some folks love that. There is a range chart on Provape Provari page that shows how much range you can expect from the different resistances.

foobar- you're going to want to use cartomizers in the cartomizer tank, not an atomizer...(if you know and are discussing something else, nevermind-sorry)

"yeah i thought it looked sharp ! ha leave it to a girl to spend extra on looks "-- you'll probably want to look into the Lava Tanks then
ohhhhh reaaaalllllly ...going to look now !!

Thanks for looking out. I got the attys for dripping (in case this carto tank thing doesn't work out) and for when I get the GG UFS + adapter for my provari.

One last thing I wanted to mention. I had the vape-mate in the cart ready to checkout but citicards.com website seems to be down (I use the "generate temporary CC number" application for online orders) so it prevented me from following through with the vape-mate transaction. based on the enlightening discussion in this thread, I feel much more comfortable with the cartos.

haha, didn't want you to get your tank and not have cartos.....
I used to be a drip only vaper, and now pretty much only use tanks. YMMV. (still drip to test flavors or for the h3ll of if once in a while, good stuff)

straight cartos w/o a tank? that works also..... make sure it doesn't dry out while your puffing away tho. That weird burnt taste is awful

what are some recommended punched cartos? gatta have spares man.

I punch them myself, it's easy with the saddle valve tool.....not sure what vendors sell them pre punched. electronicstix might, not sure if they slot or punch tho.

get yourself a 5 pack or two of cartos and the tool.. worst case, you'll ruin like 3 of them if you're a ham fister or slow learner.lol
(wanted to add: you can practice on your old/used cartos first.... centering the tool, and not going in too far/deep is the hard part, and you don't need a giant hole.. the slots are pretty excessive IMO)

(I prefer the Boge 3.0ohm , but, there are others that may be better)

nice, even explains where to punch the hole!

This jig is foolproof and fairly inexpensive.....a bit less lumpy and kludgy than plumbing parts to carry around as well:

Jig & Punch for Cartos

...can't complete on price, though. Another tip, is to slop a bit of juice around the o-ring for lubrication before inserting the carto.......and no easy jokes, please.

between here and there
Morning all....
just a note,, 0-rings really don't wear out that quickly as long as you are careful when inserting and removing the cartomizer. I will say that each vendors tanks are slightly different, some are hard to remove, others slide with just a little push. Of the tanks that I have used, I have not experienced any leaking. Only time I have lost juice is when after filling and putting everything back in place to use, I have pushed too hard and whoosh the carto went too far and juice came out the other end.lol
good luck everyone . this really is not hard. it sounds difficult when reading about it, but really is not at all. My fav tanks are jonboy Lava tanks found here.

here are some pics.....this forum is way too large to try to read it all, so just post at the end of the thread there if interested and the members will direct you on how to obtain one..
