Plain and simple, I was wondering if anyone had perhaps compiled a list of tanks compatible with the Provari, preferrably pyrex.

I was contemplating a Provari starter kit from the Provapes website, and reading some reviews. The general consensus seems to be that the Kanger ProTank that comes with the starter kits isn't entirely compatible with the Provari. Is this true? Any thoughts?

The majority of Provari users on ECF use pyrex cartotanks, most notably IBTanked.

The Protank2 is compatible but for many, they have fallen a bit out of favor since better clearos have come out.

I mostly use carto tanks on my Provaris but I also have started using the Aspire Vivi Nova BDC clearos

I like them both. Different systems perform differently and taste a bit different.

I am sure others will jump in with their favs.

I still use Protank 2's with my ProVari and I'll continue to until I run out of heads. It's totally compatible with a ProVari. Some have issues with the draw and if you like a tighter draw, they work just fine.

I also use carto-tanks, mainly IBTanked tanks and Ikenvape cartos and will continue to use them until I use up my supply of cartos. I must have 50 Ikenvapes, 40 Smoktech, and 40 Boges

Also, many seem to like rebuildables like the Kayfun Lite and clones which I would probably buy if I didn't have as many Protank heads and cartos already.

I'm honestly not having any problems with my protank on my Provari. I'm quite happy with it. The problem is with the new protank replacement coils. They use a silicon insulator instead of rubber now, and it swells when you tighten the tank down. I just trim the silicon with a razor blade before putting it in and have no draw issues now.

I just got my starter kit from Provape through a local B&M shop and I am happy with the Protank setup....but I am a Protank lover so kinda biased opinion from me...I drilled out the air holes to 1/16" and I rebuild the coils with a micro coil with cotton wick.

The air draw can be tight if your bottom pin is squishing the grommet and restricting air passage, but if you look at it first before you mount it and make sure all is good ...it is a good setup.

I have old heads so mine are all rubber. Maybe that's why I'm not having draw issues.

Not sure what compatibility issue you are having. ProVari uses standard 510 connector and ProTank sits nice and flat on it. If you are referring to airy draw issue, that's PT issue and will happen on any mods. You can replace the base with AeroTank base for $6 and get a complete control over the airflow.

There's always going to be new products coming out. Some like to stick with tried and true equipment. I don't believe cartos will be going anywhere for a while.

I totally get the "mileage" factor on carto and not putting it down. But it is truly a better option as a first tank at this point? Flavor, vapor, cost, and maintenance. I just ordered a IBtank, so I will find out soon enough. But if our ECF veterans are recommending carto over clearo, I need to get on that "bus" and stop telling people to go with clearo. :)

I have no issues with either cartos or clearos. It's just a matter of personal preference. The Nautilus might be a the best thing ever to some, nothing wrong with recommending it especially if that's what you like. :)
