I think I want a provari but I'm not sure what else to get with it. Provape has a starter kit that comes with a Protank but I have a couple protank minis but I feel like they are way too airy.

Currently I have a couple of eGos, the PT minis and a couple of the joyetech CC clearos.

Does anyone have any suggestions for something that's easy(ish) to use that would look cool with a provari? So far my only experience has been with BCCs. I don't feel like I'm ready to start rebuilding coils but is be willing to try out cartotanks. any advice would be much appreciated!

Thanks!

Try taping one of the air holes. It helps with the Protanks IMHO... You can always remove it. Also, I like (love) the Vision Vivi Nova or the Mini Vision Vivi Nova. It's not a BCC, but very dependable, easily obtainable, and inexpensive to maintain. Hits harder than the Protank (again IMHO)...

Peace

Get OUTTA here. REALLY?? So I MUST ask - how in the WORLD did you discover this fact?

Just FYI that I'm literally sitting here, laughing and shaking my head in amazement. This is absolutely marvelous :)

They really do work. The hole fits perfectly around the 510 connector and the diameter is smaller than the base of the Protank, so when you are using them, the edge can't be seen from the side. They can last a long time.

I had been using the stickers for something else and they just happened to be in front of me, so I thought I'd give them a try.

Well, I would recommend a charger for your batteries, and a storage container for your batteries. 1-2x18350 for your pocket, and as many 4x18350's as you need for however many batteries you get. The AWs served me fine for the provari. Go for the mini. You can get attachments later that extend it out to 18650, but you can't make the regular model shorter or lighter. Smaller is better, unless you like carrying around a brick in your pocket all day long. Cartotanks are great to start out with until you feel comfortable building your own coils. Don't go overboard though, so that it will be cheaper when you do upgrade to a mech+rebuildables. Carto-puncher, and a tool for inserting the carto are necessities if you take that route. Easy, simple plug n play vaping.

Yep. I've got (what I think is) a good mental picture of what transpired. I've had some similar experiences but none quite so "purr-fect" (I couldn't resist!). That really is pretty awesome - and a great recommendation to boot.

By the way, I love the new avi (Egg Nog!).

BATTERIES:

Provape recommends on their website at least 5 times to use only button-top AW IMR batteries (high drain). They actually designed the Provari around these batteries. A Provari will run perfectly fine with other high-drain, button-top batteries, but for a relatively new vaper getting their first Provari I believe the first batteries they get for their Provari should be what the manufacturer recommends.

AW batteries are the most counterfeited batteries in the world and possibly the most popular brand, too. Therefore, purchase these only from authorized dealers. Provape sells authentic AW batteries, as does RTD Vapor. A recognized name-brand charger is also recommended: Pila, Xtar, and Nitecore Intellicharger are what I would recommend.

Ocelot you're a genius! Meow! :)

Thank you Baditude! Those blogs are so helpful. I've never used a cartotank and I've only been vaping for a couple months and sometimes all this info can be overwhelming.
I am definitely getting the AW batteries as the consensus is they are the safest and the best bet for the ProVari.

Thanks to everyone else for the tips, tricks and advice. I taped a couple holes in my PT minis and it improved the draw for me 100%

:)

I've been using a Vivi Nova v2.5 tank. Also available from ProVapes. Top coil, rebuildable, holds about 2.8 ml of juice. Not a single leak, unscrew the top and refill with no fiddling around! Comes with two extra coil/wick assemblies already made up. After several weeks my first coil finally burnt out, replaced it in less than two minutes. Rebuilt the old one (PBursado has an excellent video as a how-to) in a few minutes. Simple to do. It is also the same diameter as the taper on the provari so you have a nice visual 'flow'..
