Tanks like Vivi Nova that do not have silica wicks?

Love the concept of the Viva's but hate that silica taste; like many do.
I hear that cotton has a better flavor BUT they don't last long and that S.S. is not good for use with the eGo Twist at 4v
Read here somewhere that it can create a short? True?

So, who makes tanks using other materials?
Or must I rebuild myself?

I use rolled cotton from Rite Aid ($5 for a large roll) in the heads on my V3 stardust. Takes a few minutes to re-wick (no need to recoil) and lasts a number of days. 10+ ml. The clearo works great. No dry hits, great taste, can up the voltage. I'll never use silica again
