I apologize for what my post said earlier about this being in the wrong section, it is not. I thought I had clicked on 1 section and I had actually clicked on the V4L forum.

Anyways, I recommend getting a tank. How far into this whole vaping thing are you? Are you planning on staying with vaping and getting everything there is to get out of it, or do u just want to find something comfortable and stay there?
If the latter is your choice, 2-3 510 connection cartomizer tanks is a great bet. I love carto tanks. But with carto tanks, you do need to make sure your buying cartomizers that fit. For instance, you'll want to figure out the size of the carto that comes in the tank, and then make sure your buying that size for replacement cartomizers. I just bought a 5 pack of smoktech dual coils hoping that they would fit into my smoktech dualcoil carto tanks, and they do NOT haha. I should of known.. smoktech makes DCC's (dual coil cartos) specifically for their tanks, and their regular DCC's are too wide to fit into their tank's openings.
If you plan on going "all the way" with this whole APV and Advanced tanks and whatnot, you might want to also try a rebuildable eventually. I think, for most n00bs, cartomizer tanks are best. After you have them figured out you can start looking at APV's (advanced personal vaporizers) and rebuildable atomizers... Which are awesome for vapor, flavor, and cost... But have a big learning curve.
If you just want to drip your juice in and take 5-10 puffs, put the pv down, and then repeat the drip and puff process, you might want to look into getting a few atomizers too. Atomizers are great for when you want to taste a specific juice you have, but you don't want to fill a whole cartomizer with that juice. So, get a couple 510 or 306 atomizers (if u get 306 attys, make sure they come with drip tips because the heating coils actually protrude out of the top of them and you cant put your lips around a 306 atomizer without putting a drip tip on it first) a 306 will fit into any 510 connection and the vapor is warmer because the heating element is closer to your mouth, I really enjoy them. But a 510 atty is great too. I feel (I could say that I KNOW, but I wont...) I feel that you can taste ur juices better w/ attys than with cartos. Cartomizers dull the juices flavor and add the flavor of the fill material to ur juices flavors. Its not in your face, but it does happen in my opinion. less so with carto tanks because the tank keeps fresh juice by the heating coils at all times.
As for a mod... weigh your needs and wants and dislikes. Do you want to be able to buy any ohm cartomizer (buy a 5pack of 3ohm cartos because they are on sale for $2.50, instead of buying your regular 1.5ohm cartos which are $6.80/5) then you might want a variablevoltage device, because you can UP the volts on your VV device to give u the best vapor for ANY ohm cartomizer. The higher the cartomizer or atomizer's ohm number, the more volts your PV needs to give u good vapor.
me personally? I like 1.5ohm to 2ohm cartos at 3.7 volts, so I actually enjoy fixed volt PVs more than VV PV's because VV PVs are typically less aesthetically pleasing to MY eyes. And they are also less accompanying to different batteries at the time being.
As far as PVs and good quality PVs on the market... OOOO boy, my advice to you is take your time. MANY things to make into concideration. Do you have the money to buy a few different models? If so, maybe buy yourself an eGo kit right now, and then do 2-3 months of research (and budgeting) before you take the jump into big battery mods. If you save up $300 and you want an INSANELY GORGEOUS fixed volt mod, then you have the money to buy one, yknow? OR if your budget is a little lower, or your budget is very low, you might be fine with an eGo kit. I love eGos.
