Tanks Reduce Vapor & TH?

I've been using carto tanks for a few months now and I've noticed that versus a straight carto, the tanks will slightly reduce the vapor & throat hit I get. My theory is that the tanks keep the cartos TOO wet.

Anyone else have a similar experience? If so, did you find a solution?

I purposely punch one hole a tiny bit lower than the other. If I feel that it is wicking to fast, I slid the tank up partially covering one hole.
Virtually never have to do it tho'. Most of the time 1/10 of a volt more power will solve it.
