I've never tried bottom feeding, but I just ordered a SweetVape, which is a bottom feeder. I hate dripping, and I only do it to test flavors. I am a complete and total failure at dripping, and I'm afraid I'll be a complete failure at this, too. I am convinced by talking to users of this mod that it won't leak, so that's not an issue for me, at least, I don't think so.

I was just reading about bottom feeding with cartos. Now, that appeals to me. Does anyone do that, and how do you like it?

Right now, I use a couple of VV pv's with liquinators and homemade syringe tank mods, and I really like it. I am the kind of person who always thinks I'm missing out on something better, so I have to try it all.

tanks vs. bottom feeders. Give it your best shot. ;)

I use a carto and a tank on my REO BFs when I want to try different flavor juices as not to mess with my attys. Im sure it will work fine on Brad's SweetVape. I wanted to try a SweetVape but he way to busy and the wait would be as long for me to get the REO VV. You should have no problems.

No "vs", just "and" in my world. :) I love both. Bottom feeders with the right atty on them are just amazing. The flavor and ease of use rock. Also not mad at a bottom feeder with a carto on it...especially the 1.7ohm SmokTech (Resurrector). Tanks are great for me to take out and about on a smaller PV. Or at home on those occassions when I just don't feel like pushing the bottle to get a vape. They both totally have a place in my vaping life...maybe in yours too. :)

Thanks for the replies. Sorry for the duplicate post, guys. I seem to be attracting some of the Sweetvapes and Hoggie gang, Hi all!!

In your opinions, do cartos last as long on a BF as they do in a tank?

They should last the same. The only difference could be is in a tank they are constantly kept wet-as long as juice is in the tank. With a BF the juice has to be fed but as long as it's being fed enough to keep it wet inside there should be no difference.

Is the taste comparable?

What happens if one is a bit overzealous with squeezing the juice into the carto? Will it flood easily?

One advantage I see to the BF is that I don't have to punch holes in my carto.
The advantage I see with the tanks is that I don't have to remember the squeeze juice.

The carto's taste the same (IMO),but you can flood a carto on a BF,but it takes overzealous feeding, just take easy draws,it goes away purty quick, atomisers have the best flavor, but are more finicky than carto tanks. Its a small flavor loss tho,I think the convenience of a tank outweighs the small loss of flavor.Just my opinion,I'm sure others will argue

I love to use my boge cartos on my bottom feeders! I first fill them from the top for a couple days and then bottom feed. I've found that I can make a carto last much longer by bottom feeding. With my tv waffle juice, the carto only tastes good for a couple days filled from the top, after that I can bottom feed it for several more days! Also, on cleaned cartos, I wasn't impressed with the taste/flavor when I tried to fill a cleaned carto from the top, but with a bottom feeder, I can clean them and then put them right on the bottom feeder (after they dry completely of course) and they taste fine and function like an atty. Plus, with the carto, there seems to be no leaking (on my Old Goat mod) as opposed to an atty (which leaks)

PLUS.. if you want to change flavors by dripping.. all you gotta do is drip a couple drops of another juice down into the catchcup, give a suck on the carto to draw the juice in and presto.. a different flavor :D

I like my DC cartos in my tank on a VV boxmod vs my retired (traded) RSM Buccaneer bottomfeeder. Squeezing vs just looking through the window. Plus, I had to use a 510-510 extension for the RSM to work with those cartos. Kinda gangly at that point. Good luck with your BF, but I'll stick with my VV boxmod and a tank. Fill it once or twice a day and no squeezing. ;)

I switched back to cartos on my REO's a few months ago - I've used Boge, SmokeTech dual-coils and Resurrectors - so far the Resurrectors are my favorites. They typically last me a week or more (between 25-40ml) using Halo juice before I toss them into the "to be cleaned someday when I get around to it" bucket.

Been using resurrectors on my Grand for a while now. I have to say they have been awesome! While I did enjoy the flavors a little more on my LR 306 atties, the ease of use and darn cheap cost per unit of the resurrectors has been well worth it.

You can over feed a carto, but you can always just vape through it with some light draws like one poster suggested or you can unscrew the carto and just blow it out into a tissue or something. After a short time you will get the hang of feeding a carto. Just really light feeds every 2-3 hits, at least for me, works the best.

I've never used a tank, but I am 110% satisfied with my grand and I still feel after months that its the last PV I'll ever need. Which is a good thing cause im more poor than I have ever been in my life.

So like others have said already, Try em both! Some like the options. Me, I found what I like and its actually a nice piece of mind not wanting to go and buy more E-cig stuff for a long while. Stocked on cartos, juices and the mod of my dreams! Vape on and let us know how you like that SweetVape!

if you think about it, a tank with a carto in it is similar to a carto on a bottom feeder imo... (only opinion as i don't like cartos unless they're in a tank and never tried it on a bf; hey maybe will try it on my SgtVVarmy bf)
So a tank makes cartos great because they keep the carto filled just right (most the time)... a bf should do the same ... no? and in the tank the carto is fed through the bottom portion of the carto...no? same same?

You should try it out ukeman. I'm sure you'll like the vape. It's not exactly the same thing using a carto in a tank vs a BF. With a bottom feeder. Every time you would usually top it off. You would have to reload your carto a second or so and take a few dry hits to draw the liquid to the top. I usually fill it until I see that the filler on top is fairly moist.

This is compared to a tank in which the holes that are pierced in the carto automatically allows juice to seep into the filler material. It will be filled as your taking a hit and so, you don't need to do any dry pulls I don't think. Although, I've never used one of those tanks. So, this is just from how I figured that it would work.
