I absolutely love my ehpro kayfun 3.1. It was good on my mvp, but once I got a 30w device I found out what I had been missing. Running it at 17.5w now and it's almost rediculous how much flavor I'm getting. Nice and warm too which compliments my juice. My dripper has way more airflow and much bigger chamber. Much cooler vape with completely different flavor. I think my dripper actually needs more power to really make it come alive with the gauge wire I prefer.

@wonner you make it sound like building a coil is easy. Trial and error takes time and dedication. I agree you have control over every aspect. But some people don't want that. Kind of like Amish people who are happy with simplicity.

And just like the amish, those who refuse to drip choosing simplicity over a new experience are typically choosing a much harder path in the name of simplicity.

Though I may be saying that because I've experienced dripping bottoms up.

Seek your vaping coupe De grace. Join the reonaughts in reoville. You'll thank us. ;)

Look at the Orchid RTA. Similar to a kayfun in that you can rebuild it like a dripper, but also has a tank. Pretty damn close to the expeirence of dripping. I drip at my house and use the orchid on the go and i am very satisfied.

I agree. I have a Tobeco Atty and a Tobeco Orchid. I couldn't be happier. The Orchid for out and about and the Atty for home. Great flavor, great vape and super easy to build.

I have been told that the only way to really experience true vaping is by using the dripping method. I am hesitant on trying this for many reasons but the biggest reason is that I am just too lazy to keep adding juice to the cotton. I am currently using an iTaste MVP battery with a nautilus 5 ml tank and while I do enjoy it, I still find myself wanting a higher air flow and from what I can tell the best way to modify your kit is if you are dripping.

What I guess I am asking is who here uses tanks and what kind of mods have you done when you ran into something like this and who here drips and have suggestions as to which method I should continue to use?

I drip (.2 ohm dual coil build) and I vape (Nautilus on a DNA 30). I see it like this- vaping the Nautilus is like sipping a nice wine, dripping is like shooting whiskey.

Mostly though, I drip. Dripping is a slower, more deliberate process, and I like that. For me, it's nice to wind coils, wick the atty, and drip juice that I blended myself. I enjoy my involvement in the entire process. Is dripping for you? Only you can answer that, but for me, once I started dripping there really is no turning back.

Cheers,
Rusty

I drip only. It is far superior. Massive flavor, massive vapor. There is no alternative. I don't want cigarettes. I don't want a cig-alike. I don't want a nautilus. I want massive plumes of vapor with delectable flavors. And I want to build my RDAs. And I want to drip juice on directly on my cotton. I am obsessed with RDAs. There is no turning back.

Somewhere out there
The only way to know if dripping will suit you is to try.

I thought dripping was too much trouble until I got a magma clone. The deep well holds enough juice to make dripping practical for me (at least at home).

I still use Kayfuns more often. Someday I'll get around to trying some of the newer re-buildable tanks, but I'm really pleased with my current RDAs and RTA right now.

If yr not sure get a cheep RDA and make a simple build and even that might surprise you a lot and get you hooked, or not.
The magma was a change for me from normal RDAs first because after using RDAs you get used to tilting them a certain way so they don't leak, but the magma doesn't leak no matter how you hold it, second i got used to removing the drip tip to see how full or dry it is, but the magma is so deep i can't see all the way through.

Get a REO!
Flavor of dripping. Doing the same thing as dripping only squeezing juice on atty vs. dripping!
Best of both worlds, dripping flavor, portable use without the fuss of trying to drip & drive? No carrying extra juice bottle, no carrying long tube dildo mod in your pocket, no leaking tanks!
Take your REO Grande with reomizer atty mounted with 1.0 ohm microcoil, fill up the 6ml bottle, stick in a 18650 battery and you're good to go for the day!!

How difficult are these to rebuild?
Rebuildables aren't really all that difficult at all IMO.
Get some wire, spool it around a screwdriver, test the ohms to make sure you're not way too low, make sure it fires, insert cotton, attach atomizer to mod, drip a few drops, test fire, top cap on, vape.
With tanks, there's an extra step in there for filling the tank after test fire.

I'll share a story with you... There was one a guy who began a journey... It started off a small adventure... Just something to try. It started with small ego style devices and simple clearomizers. But he wanted more. It was great, but... He just knew deep inside that there was something eluding him just around the corner. Soon he started exploring tanks. A whole new world was opening up before him. One tank led to another and eventually he discovered VV/VW devices. Then mechs... But still, he still knew that just around the corner there was something waiting to be discovered... So he ventured on.... Suddenly he found himself immersed in a world of rebuildable tanks. The kayfun... You just don't even have to say anything more than that. It was the end all be all... Had he found it? Had he finally caught up to his final destination? He was almost certain he had. Almost convinced himself that that bit of nagging he shoved away so deep inside was nothing... One kayfun after another... Each a slightly different variation than the other. Then it happened.... He bought a Fogger... It was supposed to be so much better than a kayfun... So he gave it a go... and hated it... why? Because it was just too much air!!! The kayfun was nice and open... perfect... this fogger.... what were they thinking? Nobody could enjoy a vape with that much air... More tanks came and went, but he always ended up back with his kayfun in hand. Suddenly he realized he was still on the hunt. He had convinced himself that he was satisfied but deep down he knew he wasn't. He had to be missing something.... The only area he had not ventured into was drippers... So he decided that was next. He fired up his Atomic RDA and absolutely hated it... Yuck... How could anyone find this enjoyable? He tossed it to the side and forgot about it for several weeks. Yet that tugging kept coming... Something was telling him he needed to explore this more deeply... He sat down one day and tried different types and sizes of coils in that dripper... On the third try he hit paydirt... Whoa! His eyes lit up and a smile broke out across his face. This juice... The very same juice that was sitting in his kayfun not 2 feet away.... it was...... it...... it was amazing!!!! He had always liked it... But how could this be? How could it taste so much different? How could it taste so amazing??? Maybe it was a fluke... So he yanked the cotton out, dry burned the coil and stuffed it again. This time he put another juice in there... One he was very familiar with... One he knew exactly how it tasted... His taste buds threw a party that night. They had never felt so loved. Suddenly the flavors were exploding as if they just couldn't wait to bring their yumminess to his mouth. (am I allowed to say that? LOL) He didn't understand what was going on here. He couldn't understand how this could be... It's the exact same juice... Why does it taste so much different? It's a coil, vaporizing the juice... Same as the kayfun... How can it possibly taste like this?

He realized that night that some mysteries of the world are just never to be unlocked... He also realized that night that drippers had opened his eyes... It was dripping that was always just around the corner... Just out of reach... Waiting for him to take that next step and catch up...

He also realized a couple of more things....

That "airflow" that he hated so much... that seemed so absurd... After a week of using his first dripper he decided to switch back to one of his kayfuns since he had to go on a trip and didn't want to be fooling around dripping all day.... He took one toke off of it and immediately drained it and opened it up to try to figure out what the problem was... The draw was so ridiculously tight... It was like in it's neglect the juice had solidified in the airhole. This didn't seem possible but.... ???? So he got a properly sized drill bit and ran it through the holes... To make sure they were clear... Put it back together and tried again... He felt like he was trying to suck a golf ball through a garden hose... What the heck is going on here? He stopped for a moment and stared in disbelief... Something had happened... He didn't know what, but somehow this kayfun was no longer working properly... He went into his box and dragged out another kayfun... Built it up, filled it with juice and fired it up.... WHAT THE?!?!? The same thing had happened to this kayfun??? How is this possible?!? That's when it dawned on him... Nothing had happened to his kayfuns... They were exactly the same as he had left them... What had happened was he was now spoiled... He was so used to the airy draw on his dripper that the kayfun now reminded him of sucking on a tight clearo with a gunked up coil and wick.

So what happened to our protagonist? He did continue to use his kayfuns every now and then, but most of the time they were left abandoned. Instead new life had been bred into the fogger and orchids he had purchased. That "ridiculous" airflow was now his choice... Something he knew made him happy. Soon more RDAs were to follow... All sizes and configurations... He started dripping while home and tanking (at first with a fogger, then the orchid) when he was out on the go. Dripping just didn't fit the out and about lifestyle for him. He considered for a short while joining the REO crowd. But he just wasn't as much of a fan of the mech mods as he was the higher voltage VV/VW devices.

Then it happened... He discovered the "Big Dripper". A dripper with a tank built in... Push the tip a couple of times and it's the same as yanking off the top and dripping a few drops in any other dripper... But perhaps this was like any other tank... Perhaps it would end up disappointing him by not giving him that wonderful flavor and vapor he had come accustomed to... He was skeptical... But ordered it anyway... It just seemed too good to pass up...

It turned out to be one of his best purchases ever. He was getting the dripping flavor and vapor he had come to know and love, but without having to pull out a bottle every 6 or 7 tokes...His dreams had finally been realized.... This was truly it... This was that elusive shadow that had been hiding around the corner... He had finally caught it...

Except.... why was there still that slight tugging? Surely there wasn't more??? or.....

id say stick with tanks unless you dont care about juice consumption or tanks just arent satisfying your nic cravings. otherwise i think theyre just for showing off which i think is pretty dumb

So, so, incorrect. Juice consumption doesnt have to go up. Use a single coil on a regulated device and you'll use just about the same amount you use now. Theyre not just for showing off. Theyre sooooo much more satisfying.

A Reo....you're probably looking for a reo. Lol.
Seriously though, yes. This. This is why we continue to innovate, to create new builds, coil designs, wick methods, tank designs, mods, etc. Human nature is innovation, and vaping feeds human nature at its finest.
